2017 has arrived! and with it a few new additions to the blog. first up is a youTube channel. yes! since the inception of the blog, many of you have written asking for how-to’s that range from tying a scarf to makeup tips. and a step-by-step blog post with photos didn’t seem to cut the mustard. so i wracked my brain for the better part of 2016 for a solution. (sometimes, i’m a little slow) until one day, bam, it hit me! video. better yet, video on a youTube channel. that’s the first place i head when i’m solving a problem and need advice. so now with the help of youTube, i can answer all of your questions with video tutorials. how easy is that?
and what better day to kick it all off than january 1st? after all, it is a new year. it’s also the perfect day for new beginnings. many of you have already watched one or two of my message from mom videos. if you haven’t, today i’m sharing the first video i taped two years ago. it was a tongue-in-cheek message i sent to my kiddos when they complained i didn’t have time to chat after i started the blog… gotta love ’em! that’s when i was spending hours over on youTube. but i have to admit the blog has kept me hopping since day one. it was an incredible learning curve for me as i didn’t know the difference between a link and a widget. message from mom was more or less put on hold as i grappled with the intricacies of fine-tuning the blog. that is, until today. take a peek.
the youTube channel will host a weekly message from mom where i’ll dish out tidbits of knowledge to my sons that range from selecting bed linens to setting up a bar. if you can believe it, i love putting together a stylish, but comfortable home even more than selecting an outfit of the day.
but hold on, i’ll also share video tutorials that zero in on outfit details like tying a blanket scarf or my current skincare regimen or how i style my hair. or, phew! the topics are endless. are you ready? so am i. i’m excited to get my video camera back in action. in the meantime head over to youTube and click subscribe so you won’t miss a thing. i can’t wait to see you over there.
