you asked for it. and today, i’m delivering. what’s that, you ask? a close-up of my haircut from every angle. there are quite a few questions that arrive in my inbox from all of you lovely readers. but the number one request are photos of my hair. if there is any wisdom i can impart to you it’s this: find the best hairstylist that fits into your budget. after all, your haircut is your best accessory. and while i’ve had my share of haircuts gone wrong through the years when i find a stylist that knows exactly what they’re doing i know they will help keep me at the top of my game. trust me; a fab hairstylist is worth every penny spent.
what hair products do you use? i wash my hair with Kerastase Bain Fluidealiste, condition with Kerastase Fondant Fluidealiste, and once a week i use a deep conditioner Kerastase Maskeratine. when it’s time to blow dry my hair, i use Kerastase Fluidissime. sometimes, i’ll throw a little hairspray on. but that’s my hair routine in a nutshell. and i’m growing the mop out a bit. variety is the spice of life.
the second most asked question here at Style at a Certain Age is this: how tall are you?
close to 5’8.”
third question: what size do you wear?
size 8. sometimes, i size up or down depending on the cut or fit.
what makeup tips can you share?
well, i’m not a makeup expert by any stretch of the means. but i do like a bold eye or lip. my favorite lipsticks are by Chanel, Dior and Nars. besides that, my makeup routine is streamlined. lately, i’ve been using a variety of products, so i’ll give you a rundown based on the above photos.
Photo Finish Foundation Primer – Smashbox. Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer. Photo Matte Eyes – Brown – Smashbox. Blendable Lips & Cheek Color – Echo Park Pink – Smashbox. Brow Definer – Taupe – Anastassia. Eyeliner – Kohl – Smashbox. Lip Definer – Nude – Chanel. Legendary Matte Lipstick – Panorama Pink – Smashbox. Mascara – Kohl – Dior.
to finish off my lips i always dab on malin+goets mojito lip balm. this gives my lips a hint of shine, and more importantly, keeps my lips moisturized. Chapstick or vaseline would also work, but i am in love with malin+goetz lip balm.
there are also many requests for my skincare regime. stay tuned for that.

Love your hair! Do you change your makeup routine, colors, etc, every few years? I find that as I age, what looked good last month doesn’t work now. Need to check out your eyebrow enhancer…don’t know if it is the Brit genes or the Dutch genes, but my brows are pretty much nonexistent. xoxo
I can not agree more about a hair stylist. My is perfect and expensive, but I now only wash and go every morning, perfect haircut make it that simple.
