It's going to be a busy week this week as I prepare to host Easter brunch. New hardwood floors will be installed in my entryway and living room on Thursday. Which means new rugs. I did a little switchero from room to room. First, I brought the cow hides from downstairs to upstairs. Second, I purchased a new rug for my dining room. Third, the dining room Persian rug is now in my office. Four, the rugs on my three-season porch have been relocated downstairs. Phew! Whenever a home improvement project starts, it has a ripple effect...
But I love this time of year when spring cleaning indoors and outdoors is set in motion. The three-season porch had a thorough cleaning this weekend as the pine pollen has finally subsided and it was time to scrub from top to bottom. The new rug has been unrolled and the furniture rearranged. It looks great! New sod is being laid in the backyard in the next week or two. Last fall, I had several pine trees taken down to make way for sunshine that would allow grass to grow on the hill next to my patio. Can't wait to see the finished project, as I love to spend time outdoors watching flora and fauna indigenous to Georgia.
The biggest part of owning a home is home maintenance. Right?! I'll share photos once the projects are "in the books." Since I'm sprucing up my home it's time to spruce up my closet. Today, I'm sharing ten items I've added to my closet this spring.
Kelly and I just released our new eMagazine for Spring 2023. Click the title or image below to see a preview of the magazine and details on how to purchase.

A couple of weeks ago I purchased a pair of the
J. Crew vintage straight jeans, and I love them. I also walked out with 3 new tees – black, grey, and and their “Manhattan” blue graphic tee. Beth, your spring projects sound great.
Don’t you just love these jeans! Great fit.
Lots of items to love today. I have been looking for sweater shells lately of and the one you pictured at Ann Taylor came in two colors that I have been looking for. I bought that very cute Talents floral denim skirt last week. Now if the weather would just warm up in the Seattle area. Our overnight temps are 29-35 degree still. It is hard to figure out what to wear. I am still wearing my cashmere pullover with white cords or lighter blue denim.
This is such a tricky time of year to put together an outfit. Layers! Put them on, then peel them off.
Looking forward to seeing all the new changes you make in your home. I always become interested in trying something new in decorating once spring comes around. Not only do you influence me in fashion but home decorating as well.
What a lovely comment, thanks, Nancy!
Spring cleaning always gets me going with spring home projects. And my closet always gets a thorough once over too!
