it’s monday, gang! the weekend disappeared in a nanosecond, but i trust everyone enjoyed every minute of it. but here we are with another week knocking at our door.
if i’ve been remiss and not shared this intel before – i have a dangerous job. oh sure, no manual labor is required and there’s not much risk involved unless you consider your wallet a liability. or more to the point those dang credit cards that nestle securely inside said billfold. and, well, more times than not a cute skirt like the one in today’s ootd winds up in my online shopping cart. then in no time at all, my UPS driver delivers it right to my doorstep. he’s gotten to know us so well that he brings oscar a treat! how’s that for service? mind you, i haven’t even broken a sweat over this transaction unless you count a shoulder twinge when mr. style lets out an exasperated sigh. yes, there’s one more box to break down for recycling. and there’s one more item that’s been added to my collection. i like to think i’ve taken one for the team so to speak because we all like to see the latest items that have hit the retail scene. but you can see my dilemma and the hazards involved with my job.

but i do love my job and today’s outfit is proof. this paper bag waist skirt is on trend, and i love the small details that set it apart from the pack like contrast piping and faux leather buttons. and it has pockets ladies, pockets! the denim fabric is from North Carolina-based Cone Denim one of the oldest denim mills in the world. the self-tie belt is removable. many times i exchange the self-tie belt with one from my collection. but why fool with perfection?
today, i chose a simple sleeveless turtleneck to compliment this pleated denim skirt. then polished the outfit off with snakeskin slingbacks similar here and a bamboo handle handbag similar here. the accessories are kept simple and sleek with a silver bangle similar here and hoops similar here.
ready or not a new week has arrived. go make it a good one!

Very chic! I love the slim fitted top with the skirt. And that bag and those shoes are still in my closet as well–I love them as much as when I first got them! Your job is the best kind of danger, I think!
