navy is a neutral. if you think of it this way your eye will start to see all of the potential color schemes you can play with. of course, the tried-and-true color combinations will never fade – navy and white, navy and grey. and for a nautical look, nothing beats navy and stripes. but on your next trip to your closet see how vibrant navy is when paired with orange, kelly green, turquoise or my all-time fav – pink. navy is a neutral, remember this.

I don’t wear navy myself, but WOW! It really looks great with your coloring!
hi mimi!
you never know, you might end up loving navy. it’s softer than black – who knows, you might
end up loving it.

All of these looks are great! I sometimes envy those who look good in primary colors. You look fabulous!
hi andrea!
so happy you stopped by to comment on the navy post. sometimes, when you take a primary color in a skirt or pant you can pick a complimentary color that goes well with your skin tone. navy goes with just about every color i can think of. try it, you might be surprised.

Hi Beth! You are right, and this is how I wear navy when I do. Usually I wear it away from my face, such as in pants, and my favorite combination is to wear a sand, light tan or beige color with navy jewelry. It looks smart in the summer. Thanks for your comment, and I really love your blog!
