one question that’s asked frequently is “what to wear when you work from home?” well, i have an answer for you. it’s a look you’ll find me wearing on any given day at my home office. i love it for two reasons: it’s comfortable, and it’s a look that won’t scare the fedex or ups driver when i answer the door.
if there’s one trend i’m on board with it has to be athleisure. it’s where fashion meets function. it’s also a style that’s fast becoming acceptable for any day of the week not just weekends. and it can also be adjusted for any season – spring, summer, fall, and winter. Marks & Spencer offers a fantastic selection of items to help incorporate this style into your wardrobe. but what exactly is athleisure? athleisure started off with comfortable casual clothing (think leggings and sweatshirts) that was suitable for exercise and everyday wear. women wanted the ease of running errands after yoga class without switching gear. the good news is you no longer have to break a sweat to wear this trend. and the style has elevated. these days it’s more about comfortable, trendy and cute clothes paired with your favorite accessories or a jacket.
today i have two outfits to share with you. the first ootd starts with a warm and cozy color block knit turtleneck with a pop of color. if you want a closer fit size down. however, i stayed with my true size and love how it drapes into a slouchy fit. this sweater is perfect for fall and cooler temps. it’s paired with sporty drawstring pants that give this outfit an effortlessly cool casual look.
fashionable, comfortable, and classic nothing beats a cashmere sweater once the temps dip down low. cashmere or merino wool are my sweaters of choice. and we all now i’ve never met a stripe i didn’t like. this sweater is also machine washable. dress it up for the office with a skirt or dress it down with sporty slim leg joggers as in today’s ootd.
throw a blazer over the top for a chic evening look. this one is oversized and the perfect look for the weekend.
one thing is certain, athleisure is a great choice for those days when you want to look casual and comfy but still put together.

I love the yellow shoes with the block colored sweater! Now that I’ve retired, I have so many clothes but the ones I grab over and over are definitely the ones I’m comfortable in. But you still have to feel you look good in them! Lovely.
