linen clothes for spring and summer
there’s a little hatitude today. and a whole lot of linen clothes for spring. as a matter of fact, linen is the perfect fabric all summer long. the fibers are quite strong. it’s more absorbent and dries faster than cotton. plus, linen will keep you cool and fresh in spite of those hot and humid temps. i am loving this white duster which is the perfect third layer. it’s lightweight with an open front and has a longer length. i chose a drop shoulder white linen tee to tuck underneath. it looks fantastic with wide-leg blue and white stripe linen pants. but this baby will get lot’s of wear this summer. white goes with everything. what i particularly liked about this tee is the looser fit without looking sloppy.
the star of today’s ootd is a crochet raffia hat that’s the perfect addition to my summer wardrobe. not only will this hat protect my face from the sun’s harmful rays. but it looks fantastic with dresses, skirts, shorts, swimsuits. anything and everything. last but certainly not least is a pair of slip-on sandals made with seersucker fabric and leather.
so many of us think we don’t look good wearing a hat. but most of us don’t wear hats on a regular basis anymore. when we pop one on it looks foreign, unnatural. if this sounds like you just ease yourself into wearing a hat here and there. the benefits of a hat far outweigh our preconceived notions of looking good.

shoes always make or break an outfit. these slip-on sandals are cute yet comfortable with a memory foam footbed.

one more day for the week to be complete. you know who makes an appearance tomorrow. oscar was in rare form and not at all certain photos were quite his thing. kids and pets!
Love the look of a hat and wish they would make a comeback. So stylish and practical for shading the face.
Hi Beth, what a lovely light fresh look. Linen isn’t something I’ve got a lot of just 2 jackets and a skirt. It’s only because I feel that Linen wrinkles easily so I don’t tend to pack it when we go on holiday. Can you tell me, is there a difference in the quality of Linen out there which makes some wrinkle more than others ? Regards Julie.

I LOVE linen sweaters.. Not a big fan of wrinkles so I always choose a print for linen dresses and skirts.

Great look and I love wearing hats! I bought a men’s straw fedora at a tag sale, and have gotten more compliments (especially from men) on this hat than all others combined!
Love the linen ootd Beth. I have been collecting linen for years and have to say that to wear linen clothes it helps if you like wrinkles and ironing. I just love the way it feels especially here in the south. I have noticed my new pieces are a lighter weight and don’t wrinkle as much and can’t say enough good things about linen sweaters and tees.
As always Beth, you look so chic! I love your style and enjoy your blog so much. I went to order the linen duster and noticed that the reviews weren’t that great. One lady said she wore it one time and ended with a big snag and now can’t wear it again. Curious about your thoughts on this. Thanks!!!
