when i was in college, on any given day, you would find me in a pair of blue jeans and sweatshirt. not the most glamorous of outfits but it worked. roll out of bed, throw on my uniform and head to class. okay, okay, i brushed my teeth too, but that’s what my routine consisted of. forty years later my style uniform has been upgraded to the 4B’s – blazer, button-up, blue jeans, and ballet flats. read more about my style uniform here and here. but from time-to-time, nothing quite compares to the ease of a sweatshirt and broken in denim. am i right?
today’s ootd finds me wearing another item from my Boden splurge. so far i’ve shared a print button-up, green sweater, and now a navy blue sweatshirt. what sets this sweatshirt apart is striping on the cuffs and down the back. this detail is a nice departure from the graphic sweatshirts worn as a youth. although i still have a weakness for J.Crew sweatshirts with New York or Brooklyn emblazoned across the front.
the patricia nash handbag is back in action today. the cross-body strap is a nice feature. the strap is detachable.

tie a bandana similar here, here and here around your neck for a pop of color. it adds subtle polish to an otherwise mundane ootd.
stripes make everything better.
