A Summer of Wedding Celebrations
1. A Return to Weddings
Weddings are being scheduled after months and years of postponement!
Families and friends are joyously celebrating and may be traveling to be together!
This week, let’s help them in Creating a New Home – New Life
Creating a special “home” together is very personal. Whether it is a one-room studio, 2-bedroom apartment with work from home office/guest room, or vast single-family. It will be their HOME!
2. Wedding Registries
Creating a Wedding Registry for their 1st HOME together is a lovely way to plan, with very specific needs and desires in mind. It also helps guests to know of their design aesthetic, desired colorations, sizes and personal wishes. The guest can choose their gift easily!!
A couple’s new union is a perfect time to upgrade or begin from “scratch”, depending on their circumstances. Guidance is something more easily taken from a professional outside the family, with years of knowledge and experience.
Fortunately, it has been my pleasure to witness many couple’s bliss and anticipation! It’s a joy to help couples create a Registry/Plan to make the process fun, functional and streamlined.
It is a delight to provide factual information to help their decision making, avoid pitfalls and prevent becoming overwhelmed with many choices.

Every guest wishes and needs to give or send a lovely gift, if attending a Shower or Wedding. Finding one that will show love and help the couple build a happy – chic home and life is the goal!! Yes, without breaking the bank.
Many times, guests may know the parents well and not the couple so, help is appreciated. A Registry is a gentle list of suggestions that can also be used for showers, wedding, birthdays and holiday gifting, as well.

Often, friends or family members enjoy joining for a larger gift – cookware or dinnerware sets perhaps. Having a variety of price points, helps the giver to combine items for a fun shower present too. Themed showers may be personal, for the kitchen, bedroom or travel. Couple showers have become popular. Have fun creating a custom gift from their registry!
Helping the couple “begin” is so lovely!

3. Dinnerware and Bedding
Dinnerware and Bedding are two very important categories for gifting! Creating the Registry room by room is beneficial: accessing needs, colors, sizes, quantities.

How will the “happy couple” be entertaining? For 2, several close “couple” friends, or impromptu cocktail and appetizer “drinks” parties, champagne & dessert anyone? Everything looks terrific on fabulous dinnerware…even take-out! Most are available in 5- pc sets and a la carte too! Limoges porcelain and Bone china are incredibly strong and beautiful – best to stay with one or the other, not mixing the 2.
Bread and butter plates and dessert/salad plates can do double duty, so more of each are needed!! The bread and butters double as appetizer plates for a crowd and the dessert/salad plate can be used for either…we don’t want to have to wash the salad before we can serve dessert!! It is fun to create different and very personal place settings, just by changing the dessert/salad plate!!

Will the newlyweds be hosting holidays? Certain pieces have multiple uses – so practical!
