when EILEEN FISHER invited me to collaborate with their make space to enjoy the holidays campaign i knew i had to say yes. not only do my readers love this iconic brand but EILEEN FISHER is encouraging us to make time for the things that matter during the holiday season. it’s all too easy to get caught up with our to-do lists this time of year and forget what the reason for this season is all about. the making space campaign is a nice reminder to slow down and reflect on those things that really matter. friends and family are at the top of my list, and date night with mr. style. so i’m taking it upon myself today to remind you to take a moment and connect with friends and loved ones and appreciate the simple pleasures in life. because that’s what this season is all about. so i’m leaving my stack of gifts in the corner just begging to be wrapped and grabbing mr. style’s hand and heading out the door. i’m certain there’s a special someone in your life too. a best friend will do – new or old. or if you’re lucky enough to have a sister or brother close by. just remember to take time these next few weeks leading up to christmas to focus on what really matters to you and make space for the special people in your life. and that includes you!
since mr. style and i are making time to celebrate i wanted an outfit that was a little more memorable than usual. so i chose my best lbd and added a special black jacket with a little texture and shimmer. it adds pizazz to a monochromatic ensemble. designed with an easy boxy fit this jacquard jacket is fully lined and has pockets, ladies, pockets! does it get any better?
shimmer jacquard 3/4 sleeve jacket
there are so many delectable holiday inspired items to choose from at EILEEN FISHER. like a long satin jacket in claret or a crackle coated gold clutch. this shimmer wool scarf is a lovely statement piece. and who can resist a flattering velvet skirt cut on the bias?
if you’re looking for a special gift a handknit peruvian alpaca hat might do the trick. and it has a matching handknit peruvian alpaca scarf.
or maybe you’re looking for a cozy sweater to keep you warm and toasty on a cold winter day? if so try a funnel neck italian cashmere sweater or a long cardigan with a plush wool knit. now all you need is a good book, a cup of tea and a roaring fire for a relaxing day spent at home. don’t forget to unplug your devices!
ladies, there’s boundless holiday inspiration found at EILEEN FISHER. but the question remains how you will make space for the things that matter this holiday season. and here’s a hug from me to you. you will never know how each one of you has become oh so special in my life.
a big thank you to EILEEN FISHER for this sponsored post. and thank you lovely readers for supporting the brands that allow me to bring you fresh ideas.

I like your hair much better with the side swept bangs. Thanks for all the great posts.
My favorite part about the holidays is taking the time to slow down and spend time with friends and family. I have always loved Eileen Fisher’s campaigns, and this one might be my favorite one to date!
Lots of lovely things there at Eileen Fisher. I particularly like that burgundy coat , on the video the way that is swishes and swings is just beautiful and the scarf. Have function coming up next winter for our old school and giving those some serious thought. Eileen Fisher now ships to Australia and they make small people lengths as well I see. Thanks again Beth.
This jacket is elegant on you–so minimalist but nice details in those pockets and the patterned/textured fabric. I could see it over winter white pants with a cashmere sweater in a pretty color. And yes–this year, in particular, I’m relishing family and friends–they are what really matter over everything else. I feel very fortunate there.
I’ve always been a fan of Eileen Fisher–such simple lines, but they are timeless, and mix and match with other pieces well, too. Congratulations on your collaboration with them!
Simple and elegant ! Nobody does it better!! Happy holidays dear Beth.
