when it’s time to head off for a dinner date with my main squeeze of 32 years i like to look stylish, but still keep it simple. and what color combo can beat black and white? timeless and elegant it’s a look that i reach for time-and-again. my linen pencil skirt is the perfect weight for this time of year, and i’d better get as much use out of it as i can as our summer days are waning. i love to pair my skirts with sweaters (or blazers) so this vee-neck is the perfect addition. since it’s date night, i decided on a pair of strappy sandals to keep my ootd looking feminine and fresh. i’ve added a few baubles, grabbed a slouchy handbag, and it’s time to sit down, unwind, and catch-up with my favorite guy!

I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a black and white combo – you look very stylish, as always.
although i do love color and pop it into my wardrobe as often as i can, there’s nothing more elegant than black and white.

Always great looking!
thanks, sweet friend! little by little, i’ll incorporate more lip shades for fall.

One of the things that drew me to your blog was your frequent combination of black and white, which I happen to do a lot also. It always looks chic, especially with the pop of color that red lips and toenails bring.
i guess i’m preaching to the choir when i pull out my black and white! i do love a bright lip, and this is the perfect color combo for that.

Great outfit! Love the sweater/skirt combo.
i’m a sucker for sweaters and sneak them into as many outfits as i can!
