versatility is a word you’ve heard on my blog many times. it is the key word when it comes to building your wardrobe. why, you ask? because a wardrobe needs to work for you. and we need to answer the inevitable question ‘what do i wear today?’ i originally showcased this jacket several weeks ago paired with white jeans and metallic accessories that were perfect for drinks with friends, saturday night movie, or running errands around town. today, that same jacket is dressed up with a skirt, and blouson blouse that is perfect for a nine-to-five look, or for a formal dinner reservation. the look is monochromatic, but then i punch it up with pops of color from my shoes that tie back to my jacket. the skirt is flirty and fun with an asymmetrical hem, but definitely errs on the sophisticated side of the street. it is a perfect match with a feminine and flowing blouse. so remember, versatility is a word you pull out on your shopping trips. i always ask myself what three items do i already own that i can wear this with? if you follow this simple rule, you will soon be building a closet that will work for you day-in and day-out.
