between the wind and raindrops we finally managed to squeeze in today’s ootd. life is always filled with some sort of setback or another. but i promise perseverance pays off! blue and yellow is always a favorite color combination of mine. but if i can sneak in red, especially this time of year, i’m a happy camper. this quilted moto jacket is having it’s first appearance on the blog since last spring. it’s a perfect companion to this boiled wool skirt that’s gotten oodles of mileage since its debut in early fall. i particularly like the fact it has pockets. for whatever reason, i’m crazy for skirts and dresses with pockets. alison from wardrobe oxygen (a favorite blog of mine) wore this same skirt with a striped tee and a kerchief tied around her neck. needless to say she looked absolutely darling, and i’ve had that outfit rummaging around in my head for the past two months. here’s my version.
labels: skirt c/o Talbots; shirt JCrew (similar here and here); jacket Banana Republic (similar here and here); shoes Zara (similar here and here); scarf Old Navy (similar here and here)

Great outfit! Love the stripes together. It’s almost warm enough here to go bare-legged. (That’s Hoosier for not wearing tights…)
that’s my favorite kind of weather. the midwest is getting off easy this year!
merry christmas.
