Throughout the world and her many cultures, the Apple’s symbolism is extraordinary…in the Bible, in mythology, and in ancient and modern times!!
In mythology – it’s considered one of the most sacred trees, symbolizing good health, luck and future happiness.
Since ancient times, it has also been known as the 'Tree of Love’, associated with Aphrodite, goddess of love, thus – it’s a symbol of love, ecstasy, fertility and abundance.
It also means “the person who someone loves most and is very proud of.”
Are you the apple of your Father’s eye??
Then, we have additional, special meanings…” typically American as apple pie and
everything in apple-pie order…
The physical shape of the apple is also well loved as a symbol of knowledge, wisdom, and education. “In the 1700’s, apples were gifted to teachers in Denmark and Sweden, as a mark of their knowledge and intellect. This tradition began to be followed in the United States from the 19th century onwards.”
Where would this century be without “Apple the Tech” …one of the world’s most valuable and influential companies with its bitten apple logo and its greatest hits…macs, iphone, ipads watches and more!

Apple brandy Calvados is famous, particularly in Europe.
It brings memories of receiving chocolates filled with this fine liqueur regularly, from a dear Swiss colleague, visiting on business. The trick was to eat one, in a single bite, or risk drippings of sweetness down the face!
