when we lived in san francisco, oscar tagged along with us to the coffee shop and the grocery store. most retail establishments and restaurants in sf were dog-friendly, offering bowls of fresh water and treats on demand. needless to say, oscar was well socialized as he daily traversed the city sidewalks. not so in georgia. oh, he’s still walking the streets of our neighborhood (we don’t have sidewalks) and we run into the occasional neighborhood dog. but our current environment is more laid-back than the bustling city streets of san fran.
which is why we love to pile into the car and head downtown for a walk with oscar now and then. it’s good for him to remember his manners and pass by pedestrians without so much a look to the right or left. socialization is so important for dogs. (come to think of it, us too.) because it teaches him to get along with critters and humans alike.
so when we discovered one of our favorite breakfast joints was dog-friendly, our hearts went pitter-patter. and from the looks of it, oscar’s did too. who knew broccoli quiche was one of his favorites? but the sun was shining, and the temps were glorious so we lingered over our coffee and enjoyed the morning. and oscar made a friend or two.
on that happy note, oscar and i wish each of you a lovely weekend.

Those shoes are wonderful! Love the unexpected green with the pink–fabulous combination. Oscar is adorable–I can relate–that quiche sounds yummy! My boyfriend and I have a Saturday morning ritual of brunch every weekend. I look so forward to it each week. It’s pet-friendly, too.
Have a great weekend.
