Happy Friday, gang! There’s nothing quite like the first true sweater weather day of the season. The air turns crisp, the leaves hint at change, and suddenly I find myself reaching for soft knits and cozy layers. This week’s Fridays with Oscar celebrates that shift into autumn with early fall style for women, featuring outfits that are equal parts comfortable and chic. To toast the season, Kelly and I are sharing a cinnamon pear cocktail and a roasted butternut squash flatbread, both perfect for easing into cooler days.
🐾 Here’s What You’ll Find in This Post
- Early fall style for women: cozy sweaters, layers, and denim you’ll wear all season.
- Two outfit ideas from Beth and Kelly, each styled for fall transitions.
- A sparkling cinnamon pear cocktail 🍐 to sip on crisp days.
- A roasted butternut squash flatbread 🍁 that doubles as the perfect appetizer or light dinner.
- Of course, a check-in with Oscar and Ollie! 🐾
Beth’s Early Fall Style

For me, sweater weather means reaching for timeless staples. A cashmere ribbed sweater from Quince offers just the right amount of warmth without bulk at an affordable price. And straight jeans balance the look with a casual yet polished silhouette. And I love to add a silk scarf when the temps cool.

I added a silk scarf for a touch of pattern and slipped into classic driving mocs, proof that effortless layers can still feel elegant when styled with intention.

Kelly’s Early Fall Style
When it comes to early fall style, I love pairing pieces that feel cozy but don’t overwhelm my petite frame. This ruffle trim sweater tee adds just the right amount of detail, while a cashmere cardigan makes it perfect for layering as the weather shifts.

Many petites steer clear of Wide-leg denim, but with the right proportions and a classic pair of ballet flats, the look stays polished and balanced. It’s an easy outfit formula I’ll be repeating all season long.

It’s easy to pull together, makes a beautiful presentation, and works just as well for a cozy dinner as it does for entertaining.
