  1. Robin Callicott says:

junior style! I love it! Hang in there.

    • annie says:

Very Sorry to hear your loss, and dear Oscar your trusted companion looks rather sad as well, obviously missing Mr Style. Animals feel strongly the loss of their loved ones, they express their feelings very well, in their body language and behavior, in a true and sincere heartfelt way. I hope with each day your smiles return again.

      • Jes says:

Love to read and watch you. Thank you for your bright smiles, God Bless and keep it up!😊. See you next time!

  2. Sue says:

Great idea, and I’m thinking of that taco salad for this weekend. Shrimp are on sale locally so may make it a shrimp taco salad! You look good, Beth-always thinking of you. Was diagnosed last month with breast cancer so I know about doing each day one by one. Some will always be better than others-but hey that was true Bc (before cancer0 too! Much love to you, Oscar, and Ollie.

  3. Donna says:

God bless your family. I even see sadness on Oscar’s face. With Ollie, I can never tell. Lol. I continue to lift your family up. Hope you find some joy today.

  4. Salwa says:

    Hello beautiful
You look wonderful, God bless you and your lovely family.

  5. Julie Mycock says:

Hi Beth, I think we all wish that we were coming over to you for dinner it all looks delicious. I love the picture of Ollie by the Margarita glasses, he has a startled look as if he’s drank the Margaritas. I think eating healthy and everything in moderation is key and it seems you have got it just right. You look lovely considering what’s been happening in your life, one day at a time. Take care and have a lovely weekend xoxo

  6. Pam Elkins says:

How have Oscar and Ollie reacted to the loss of your husband? They grieve also and I am glad they have you and that you have them. Pets are very comforting when experiencing a loss. My husband & best friend died 7 years ago and whenever I sit in his chair my cat will jump up and sit with me, Otherwise, never.

  7. Mary Grogan says:

Love you cheerful, colorful and delicious post. Admire your zest for life. Sending grace your way.

  8. Karen says:

Inspired by your awesome attitude and healthy eating habits. Happy Friday and weekend to you.

  9. Bonnie S. Holley says:

Looking great Beth! Taco salad sounds great! And yes, wish we could all share a margarita! Cheers!

    • Sylvia Espinoza says:

Beth, love your way with words! “junior style” is perfect! Noticed his excellent skills right away. Mr. Style would be over the moon!…Linked up to the prayer chain for you and your beautiful family. You bless us in such a unique way. Thank you!

  11. Thersa says:

Love junior style, Oscar must have had a really hard work day.. prayers everyday.

  12. Joanie says:

    Hi Beth
I look forward to your Friday’s With Oscar posts. The video is a great addition to your blog. Junior Style is doing a great job! I love the music added to the videos. The taco salad and margaritas look scrumptious. I love Trader Joe’s too. Your casual Friday look today is simply chic. You look great! I am lifting you all up in prayers and peace.

  13. Jeni Molyneux says:

You look great I love your casual Friday looks. I have never made taco salad but you have inspired me to give it a try! Best Wishes from across the big pond.

  14. Paula says:

Very good video along with your posts. I do enjoy them and tell Junior Style the are well done. Have a great weekend and enjoy your kids. I keep praying and thinking about you and your family.

  15. lynne driscoll says:

So admire your determination to keep on moving in spite of it all. I started watching your videos and blog when I was in the hospital after a stroke. I decided that when I could, I would look at my wardrobe a different way. Now that I have recovered somewhat, I am putting more effort into polishing my look in ways I can. Thanks to you Beth. Have a great weekend!

  16. Julie Mycock says:

Hi Beth, in addition to my post earlier, hubby Graham loved the lemon/like squeezer, so I’ve ordered one off Amazon, thank you xoxo

  17. Sandy says:

What kind of cat is Ollie? I think of you often as I am on the journey you have walked – a husband with cancer and yes, some days it is just putting one foot in front of the other.

    • Sandy says:

I’m wondering how you managed with your pets. Mine are great therapy but sometimes taking care of my husband and pets seems like too much.

  18. Trisia Callaway says:

Beth, I love your glasses, perfect for your features. What brand and style ?

  19. Niculina McClanahan says:

The salad looks fantastic and thank you for the taco seasoning recipe. I have been using Trader Joe’s but maybe I will switch to making my own.
We’re here, got your back! Just remember to breathe… Have a great weekend!

  20. Gloria says:

I think of you and your family so often. It must have been quite difficult for you to share your journey and vulnerability with us, but because you did, we are now able to return back to you the encouragement and inspiration you have given to us. Since I started reading your blog posts daily, I am more committed to putting my best foot forward, appearance-wise. For a long time, I told myself no one was looking at me so it didn’t matter. That you have shared your passion for fashion has helped me change my attitude! Thank you, and know that the Djalalis are in my prayers.

  21. Carley Mill says:

Beth we all love you and your family like our own. So blessed by you each day. We are here for you too one day at a time. Awesome post today! Hi Oscar and Ollie!
    Great photos junior style!

  22. Marilyn L says:

One foot in front of another. One day at a time. The odd margarita will help. When I have my GnT tonight I will raise my glass to you.

  23. Deb Seeley says:

Hi Beth – Thanks for the dinner idea for tonight! I defrosted some ground turkey with no real plan of where that would lead me but know it’s going to be a Taco Salad and Margarita night!! Wishing you a lovely night with your kiddos full of laughter and relaxation!

  24. Cheryl Owens says:

I’m going to add my kudos to everyone else who commented here. I’m inspired by you…not only your style and grace, but the determination you have to keep on keeping on. Bless you and your family…may this road get easier.

  25. Pat says:

Beth, I’m happy you have your kiddo there taking on the photography role, and that they are visiting you. You have lovely boys. Keep forcing that one foot in front of the other. I have been single since 1996, and I find that making those life decisions, i.e where or how do I downsize are difficult? I pray, and know you will get the guidance you need from our heavenly father.

  26. Jane says:

Thank you for your lovely example of how to put one foot in front of the other.

  27. Katie says:

I swear Oscar tired to say “Hi” when you asked him to do so! LOL He is beautiful and photogenic. So is your Coon cat. Pets are a LOT of good company.

    Taco salad. Yum!

  28. Susan says:

Beth, again you hit Friday out of the park! You are an inspiration to all of your followers. I know it is not always easy for you to get up and put one foot in front of the other, grief is something very personal and everyone has a different way of handling. You are doing an outstanding job, thank you for inspiring us everyday! Thoughts and prayers are with you and you family! Enjoy your kiddos!❤️

  29. patricia LeMunyon says:

Beth, You look great and the food looks yummy. I wish I could do for you what you did for me when my husband passed away last summer. Please hang in there and know that so many people are praying for you and your beautiful family.

  30. Mary says:

i so admire your dedication and look forward to your posts. My husband died in March after years with Parkinson’s.
Grieving is very individual – that is perhaps the only thing I have learned. Keep up the good work. Oh, I bought the red mules from JCrew after last Friday’s pot. I love them.

  31. Suzanne Smith says:

Looks good–very similar to how I make taco salad. I’ll have to try your dressing–that sounds yummy. Maybe this weekend! I have always eaten really healthy, and fortunately I love food that’s good for me, so I’m lucky that way.
I’ve gotten my boyfriend hooked–(he’s eaten way more vegetables with me than any other time in his life!) I no longer eat breads, etc, although I loved them for years. I admit I stay very thin not eating all that starch, though. It’s made it easy for me to maintain a low weight as a result. And it’s much less inflammation for this old body! I don’t want these new knees to have too much weight to lug around–they need to last me forever! Enjoy the weekend with your gang.

  32. Cindy J. says:

Beth, just loved this blogpost! You are so genuine- thanks for the update on how you are doing. Your courage to keep on going in the face of what you have endured is admirable and inspiring! So glad you are taking care of you! Junior Style is doing a great job! Oscar and Ollie are precious and I am sure comfort you a great deal. The recipes look delish! Have a wonderful time with your family!💕💕

  33. Pam says:

Beth, you look beautiful! Cheering you on every day! Enjoy that special time with your kids.

  34. Belinda Oakes says:

    Thank you Beth.
I’m on the other side of the world, so FWO becomes Saturday’s with Hammer (my cattledog) due to the time difference and we do a nice relaxed dinner. It makes a great evening after the crazy week.. I’m in Brisbane and as the days get warmer, coming out of our mild winter, the salads and light meals are a great option.
I really appreciate the effort you put into your blog and how you have kept on with it. I know how hard the effort, after loss, of putting one foot in front of the other at certain times, can be,

  35. Gwen Ewing says:

Love you Beth! Can’t wait to make the margaritas and the taco salad! I think about you and keep you in my prayers, you are an inspiration to so many! God bless!

  36. Susan says:

With your openness and willingness to share your personal life as well as your fashion sense, you are positively impacting so many of us. Thank you!
I send my sympathy and wish you peace as you grieve. It’s a difficult road, but you are handling this tough time with your usual grace. Please take time for yourself and know that your followers are sending you a collective hug on a daily basis.

  37. Jan says:

We had shrimp tacos today. Must be something in the air.

Fantastic job on losing the weight. That is awesome.

Your eyes tell a story today. I hope you have a great weekend visiting your sons.

  38. Leilani Schumacher says:

Hugs to Oscar, I’m sure he misses Mr. Style. My heart goes out to you during this period of grief and readjustment.

Guess what I also use my lemon/lime squeezer for? I place garlic cloves for a slight smashing, makes them easier to peel. Märtha Stewart and Ina Garten’s garlic peeling method somehow just doesn’t work for me 🙁

  39. Patti says:

Oscar’s face is so sad! Breaks my heart. You’re all in my prayers. <3

  40. Mudra says:

Love the shoes! Look sooo comfortable and I could put my orthotic in them. Junior Style is a wonderful name/chip of the block! I too love taco salads and just leave out the meat. The beans are the protein I need. Thanks for being back to work for us!

  41. patval says:

You are a style icon for me. I love your glamorous, fun classy style. When I look at Talbot’s share your style you always stand out. Keep following your passion. I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone pick you up as a senior model. In my opinion you are that good. patval

  42. Lesley Kircher says:

I’ve really enjoyed following you for the last several years and I use many of your ideas for my outfit each day. Thank you. I just wanted to say I’m very sorry about Mr. Style, what a cool guy. Take care, Lesley

  43. m says:

    Dear Beth,
Just wanted to express belated condolences on the passing of Mr. Style. My heart aches for you and your family.
You are a strong woman to continue your blog that so many of us love – and we thank you for that.
You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

  44. Robin M says:

I just love following you! A timeless classic and beautiful lady.
Was so excited to read you live in Athens, Ga. Thats where my daughter lives and works. Hopefully one day, We will meet.
In the meantime, you and yours are in my prayers.

  45. BD says:

Was reading another blog about have we “aged” out of shorts. Glad to see you don’t think so, older than you and just bought some new ones. Denim blue and white the same length as the ones you have on. Plan on wearing them for a few years for sure

  46. Kathi Parshall says:

I love seeing what you put together and glad to see that you are continuing something that you love. I was so sad to hear of your husbands passing. Thanks for the daily inspiration. You and your family are in my thoughts, Kathi

  47. Carol says:

LOVE you FWO posts – I nearly died laughing at the first picture of Ms. Ollie. Talk about the cat with the canary in her mouth!! So cute! I do have one beef though – you have cost me a lot of money at Talbot’s! LOL!! Wishing you some peaceful moments.

  48. Sandy says:

Everything looks delicious! I love a good taco salad. Not to be a nudge but those look like lilies in one of the photos and they are deadly to cats, so if Ollie is a nibbler I’d keep them well away. One of my friends’ sister in law lost her two cats to a bouquet of lilies someone gave her for her birthday and I’ve never forgotten it.
