can you believe it’s time for cocktails and appetizers? yep. it’s time to put our feet up and relax. another week is drawing to an end. five o’clock can’t come soon enough. today i have yummy lemon parmesan stuffed artichokes and an Aperol tequila swizzle cocktail. come on in and stay awhile.
the home renovations continue. this week the plumbers and electricians paid visits, framing is up, and my bathtub is in. the sheetrock goes up today, then it’s a week’s worth of drywall or thereabouts, then onto the pretty stuff – paint, tile, wallpaper, lights camera action! it’s coming along day by day with a May 12th completion day. i’m throwing a party after the dust finally settles.
if you follow my Instagram or Facebook accounts, then you know i’m sporting a short pixie cut for summer. the blog content is always a week or two ahead of publishing dates, so you’ll have to wait until next week for a glimpse of the new ‘do,’ but it’s easy peasy to style and super cute!
today’s ootd is all about a denim jumpsuit styled for a warm spring day. the temps have been bouncing around this week, but we’ve seen highs in the upper 80s and lows in the 40s. quite a drastic range! with temps like that, i’ve slipped my tootsies into sandals on more than one occasion. that’s when a pedicure comes in handy! the denim jumpsuit (similar here, here, and here) and snake print sandals (similar here, here, and here) are from previous seasons. both are favorites of mine that can be dressed up or down. a belt and bracelet were added to the ootd for a little pizazz and personality.

Fill a glass with medium ice cubes; add the tequila, Aperol, and bitters. Use a swizzle stick or straw to stir the ingredients until just blended. Top with club soda and a pinch of salt; stir gently and garnish with a lemon twist.
Preheat over to 375 degrees.
Coat baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
Place artichokes in baking dish.
Combine parmesan cheese, mayo, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, pine nuts, parsley, freshly ground pepper and pinch of salt in a bowl.
Mound mixture onto artichokes.
Bake 20-24 minutes until lightly browned and bubbling.
Garnish with additional parsley if desired. Serve!
