We all might be wishing for fall weather at this point, but summer is officially here for another month and a half! And living here in Georgia, summer temps will still linger until at least October!
Despite the seasons though, do you always long to have that sun-kissed glow on your face? But do not like the way traditional powder or cream bronzers look on you? Or are you really good with applying your SPF on your face every day, but end up with a pale face that doesn’t seem to match the rest of your body??
Then I have a solution for you. Today, I'm sharing my Summer must-have beauty product. Give a LIQUID BRONZER a try!
Today, Jennifer is sharing her Summer must-have beauty product: liquid bronzer

Why liquid bronzer though? In a nutshell, it’s the most foolproof and subtle way to bronze the face in my opinion.
I have found that unlike a powder bronzer which can sometimes sit awkwardly on my dry skin and be too obvious (unless I pick JUST the right formula and shade!) a liquid is much easier to manipulate and use. Plus, it always ends up looking way more realistic on the skin overall.
Just check out this above photo of my skin before I was introduced to liquid bronzer! And then my after skin where the liquid bronzer had been added to my foundation and skincare routine!
Earlier this summer, I was introduced to the Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Sunshine Drops. A friend of mine and I were discussing via Instagram DM’s how we didn’t like to put our faces in the sun anymore because we want to slow down the aging process!
At our age, we know that the sun can age and damage our skin quicker than almost anything else we can come into contact with. But even if I’m not getting real sun on my face, I want it to LOOK like I do! There’s nothing that feels or looks healthier than a subtle bronzed glow in my opinion.
But in doing this with sunscreen and hats, I was complaining to her how much my face differs in color from the rest of my body. But facial self tanners were so hard to get just right. That’s when she told me she had been using these Drunk Elephant bronzing drops and adding them to her moisturizer and it gave the most beautiful realistic bronzed glow!
So of course, I think I went out to Ulta the very next day and picked up a bottle for myself!
So what are these miracle bronze drops? They are a creamy liquid texture with an ever so slight pearlized finish that leaves the skin looking glowing with a sheer bronzed tint. These provide a supernatural finish for anyone that doesn’t like the look of heavy bronzed makeup. And with this specific brand, they also provide a potent dose of protective antioxidants and omega fatty acids.
They’re very versatile in how you can use them too.
You can easily add them with your fingers to bare skin and mix a few drops in with your favorite moisturizer (and SPF!) to give the skin a sheer bronzed boost all over your face!
Or, you can put multiple drops on the back of your hand, and apply them strategically with a makeup brush (made for cream/liquid products like this one here from Real Techniques) on top or underneath your foundation in strategic areas of the face to bronze and contour with.
If you'd like to see these drops in action, I actually created a short YouTube video here that you can watch and see exactly how I use them and how they perform.
I have found that if you’re just really bad at applying self tanner to the face, adding a liquid bronzer that you can easily remove at the end of the day, is the way to go.
