Exploring Tybee South Beach
Hello, welcome back to Tybee Island! Last week, I showed you Tybee North Beach. Today we are exploring Tybee South Beach. There is a lot more action on the south side of the island. Beautiful South Beach features the Tybee pier and pavilion along with many tourist shops and restaurants.

Exploring Tybee South Beach
1. Ruched Bandeau One Piece

The Tybee pier and pavilion is a great spot for checking out the views. There is a concession stand and cash-only bar inside the pavilion. It’s a great spot for exploring and grabbing a shaved ice or an ice cream cone along the way.

The beaches on the south side of the island feature smooth, sugary sand, while North Beach is where you’ll find the most shells and wildlife (like dolphins and seabirds).
Each beach area on Tybee has its own personality. If you’re looking for busier beaches with more activity, South Beach is your best bet. Quieter beaches include Mid Beach, North Beach and Back River Beach.

2. Beachside Shirttail Top

I am putting my beach vacation capsule wardrobe to the test today since we will be mixing up our activities with sightseeing, beach going and a late lunch at our favorite Mid Beach restaurant, The Deck.

A ruched bandeau one-piece bathing suit is my underlying layer. This print is from a few years ago, but this is a classic ruched J.Crew style that returns every year. I have found over the years that the exclusive prints are more widely available at the very beginning of the season, while the solid colors (of which there are many!) are well stocked through the summer. Each spring I keep my eyes out for the new prints.
For ease, comfort and coverage, I am wearing the petite wide-leg Seaside pant. This petite pant is currently on final sale, which is a great deal, but the colors and sizes are limited. Keep your eye out for the Seaside pants at J.Crew though; as a best-selling item, I bet they will be returning next year. These have been my go-to pants this summer.

3. Petite Wide Leg Linen Pant

Since we are doing a bit of sightseeing and we will stop for a bite to eat, I am wearing a light cropped button up top from Madewell. Unbuttoned, it gives me a breezy layer of coverage. Appropriate for restaurant dining, yet casual and laid back. Perfect Tybee vibes.
