Hello, happy Thursday to you! To me, summer fashion isn’t complete if linen isn’t a big part of the equation. Especially since moving to Georgia! In the heat of summer, wearing a dress or skirt has been my go-to date night outfit. But with linen, you can wear pants and a blazer, look polished and feel cool enough to sit outside for dinner al fresco. I love having options! So today, I'm going to show you how to wear linen suit separates this summer.
Today's featured items are linen suit separates from J.Crew Factory
Kelly modeled the suit, and pulled together 2 alternates

These Linen Drawstring Pants from J.Crew Factory are just the ticket. I love these pants because while they are pretty casual, you can easily dress them up with a Linen Blazer in matching white, some strappy sandals and a flowy camisole. The petite sizing is spot on; I am wearing petite 0.
This is my first white blazer. For my introduction into the world of white blazers, a summertime linen blazer is the perfect way to start. This version from J.Crew Factory is at a perfect price point and it is made well. As with the pants, the petite fits true to size; I am wearing petite 0.
If white is not for you, this Linen Drawstring Pant and Linen Blazer combo each come in hot pink and light pink – fun colors for spring and summer.
Linen-Cotton Drawstring Pant (J.Crew Factory) | Linen-Cotton Holland Blazer (J.Crew Factory) | Bliss Silk Camisole (Banana Republic) | Everday Satin Camisole (Nordstrom, similar) | Scoop Neck Cami (Ann Taylor, similar) | Kiera Lugsole Sandal (Madewell, similar) | Loli Ankle-Strap Sandal (Madewell, similar) | Kiera Mule Sandal (Madewell, similar) | Mini Satchel (HOBO, similar) | Tote (HOBO, similar) | Shoulder Bag (HOBO, similar)
Linen is a great summer fabric to mix up with something shiny like silk or satin. It’s a fun play on textures that is cool and refreshing, perfect for summer. A popular item, this washable silk camisole from J.Crew is mostly sold out already, but here are three other options, in a range of colors.

I have had this particular pair of Madewell sandals for about 7 years and they still look and feel great. With a block heel, they are comfortable and easy to walk in. A comfortable heeled sandal in a neutral light brown or tan is a perfect warm-weather option; they go with virtually everything! I have rounded up a few more currents, but similar Madewell styles.

I am really shopping my closet for accessories today! My top handle bag is from another company I really like for handbags and wallets, HOBO. Their designs are interesting and the leather is unbelievably beautiful. This style is from 2007/2008, but they have some similar current designs that are gorgeous.

Thank you all for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful weekend! xo Kelly

Cute outfit. The camisole that you are wearing under the blazer, is it the banana republic silk camisole or the Nordstrom satin everyday camisole?
Hi Sherry, The cami I am wearing is The Washable Silk Camisole from J.Crew, it is mostly sold out but here is a link to the colors/sizes remaining: https://rstyle.me/+xkwhM5ceAbZuiYaiIuYYeQ
The Banana Republic and Nordstrom versions are similars, in case your desired color or style is unavailable at J.Crew. Thank you so much for stopping by today! xo Kelly
As a petite, I love the addition of Kelly, although I’m not a size zero. I’m aso a big fan of Hobo handbags. I think I might need a new one.
Hello Alecia, I love the distinct designs and leather colors HOBO Bags has to offer – so much fun! And the quality is superb. Thank you for stopping by, it’s great to meet a fellow petite! xo Kelly
Kelly, I’m enjoying your outfit posts (and still enjoy her food blog each day!). It’s great to see you showing us that you still wear clothes, shoes, etc. that you’ve had for years and that you don’t just buy new things all the time.
Hello Lee, Thank you for your comment…you’re right, I don’t buy new things all the time. That’s the great thing about having a style that mostly revolves around classics that never really go out of fashion. I like the challenge of shopping my (tiny) closet, Lol! I have always felt that if you make smart purchases, and care for them, they will last. I do enjoy certain trends, but it’s all about balance. xo Kelly
Nice post. At 5’3”, I do love seeing more of the petite fashions. I’ve always shopped at Talbots bc of their extensive petite collection. And while I love Talbots, I’d like to expand beyond that and you’ve given me the knowledge of more retailers who carry petite. Also great idea to pair silk w linen! Nice for date night.. one more thing…I’m loving Djalai cooks, made several recipes and referred my friends. You two are a great team!
Hi Debc, That’s great you’re looking to expand your go-to petite retailers! I tend to revolve around 3 or 4 that have reliable petite offerings. But I too, am always looking for other retailers – I am excited to share what I find with you! It makes me very happy you enjoy Djalali Cooks; and that you’ve had success with the recipes! 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by! xo Kelly
I love the outfit and the shoes. Linen always makes me think of Agatha Christie, because she mentioned linen clothing a great deal as she sent some of her characters off on safari or an archaeological dig. Most of them would not return, so I do hope someone who appreciated cool and well tailored linen was there to rescue any clothing that survived. You always look so smart and chic in your photos. Now that I’ve talked about the fabulous JCrew, I must bemoan the fact that the fabulous Hobo bag is not available on their site anymore. This style of handbag was big as late as the sixties, but I haven’t seen one in years. It’s such a classic shape and you can keep a good grip on it. I will set my daughter on the trail and if she can’t find it, it can’t be had. She is into older designer bags so this should be just the thing for her. The other day she casually mentioned that she was selling one of her vintage Dior bags and was buying a vintage Chanel bag. While these purses are much more affordable than their newer sisters and cousins, yipes!
Hi Mari, Yes unfortunately, that Hobo bag is from 2007/08, though a search on ebay might yield something… I really do love linen, It’s fun to mix it up with a blazer, it’s such a pulled-together look! xo Kelly
Very nice look on you Kelly! Perfect for out to lunch with the girls!
I have shrunk to 5 feet ( used to be 5’2″ )but not in size unfortunately. I have almost the same outfit from Talbot s in petite plus. They are the only retailer that I have found that has anything bigger than a 16 in petite. Thank you for showing me some different ways of wearing my linen now that it has finally gotten warm enough to go without a coat in Michigan
Hello Marylynne, I am happy it has warmed up for you in Michigan! Sizing is always tough – it varies so much between retailers and it’s especially tough when you from alpha to numeric sizing. Thank you for stopping by today, I am so glad to have given you some linen inspiration! xo Kelly
Thanks so much Nancy! xo Kelly
Thanks, Kelly,
You’ve inspired me to head to the factory. Pull on linen pants can run a little to full for me, but this style looks great on you!
I’m so excited about your posts!
Thank you so much for stopping by, Trish! I am happy to have given you some inspiration! 🙂 xo Kelly
