it’s day 2 of fashion week. in spite of the blustery winds i made it backstage at the mara hoffman show. what fun to have a bird’s eye view of how the models are primped and preened before they head to the catwalk. there are nail techs on hand for manicures and pedicures. stylists to curl or straighten hair. makeup artists to add a smokey eye or glossy lip. chefs to dish up a healthy salad or tasty calorie-free dessert. there are so many pieces to the puzzle, and each piece is essential to the success of the show. greens and blues were the predominant color scheme. and i spotted more than 1 stripe. boxy tops, long skirt lengths, and a definite throwback to the eighties with high-waisted pants and suspenders. what’s old is new again, ladies. but i liked it.
for my own ootd i’m playing it safe again with ivory and black. and why not? it’s classic, and chic, and it works every time.
later today, head on over to insta stories on instagram or facebook. i have a sneak peek of an amazing interview that’s soon to be posted here on the blog. you won’t want to miss this one, i promise!

I do love this outfit! I am wanting a duster cardigan and this one looks like a winner! Enjoy NYC! (Do you need a bag boy?) đ
i needed a bag boy this trip, nikki! my luggage was 8 pounds overweight. it was all those boots, and hats, and coats i had to bring along. brrrrr.

the ruffle along the opening of the cardigan is very flattering. Timeless. Glad you got to see your son while in the city. Yay! best kind of trip.
time spent with my son is the icing on the cake! lucky for me he lives in nyc!
