Love starting my week with your beautiful posts. Not sure I am ready for the wide legged jeans again but they look wonderful on you. So ready for fall, though, and we have not reached cold morning status here in western KY yet.

    • Beth Djalali says:

the cool temps are on their way. this past week our mornings and evenings were absolutely perfect temp-wise. perfect enough to sit on the porch with a cup of coffee. xo

  2. Ellie says:

You look great! I am short and a hit round, not sure the wide leg pants are for me!

  3. Linda Anderson says:

Happy Monday from Prince Edward Island in Canada.
Beth, I’ve been following your posts for some time now and its been lovely to be able to use the clothes I have in my closet in so many different ways thanks to your great posts.
I love that you are wearing wide leg jeans! We spend winter in the south of Portugal and last year they were all the rage so of course I had to buy some and bring them home. Love them! Have a great week.

  4. Jeanne says:

I love the look of wide jeans. They look great on you; and so comfortable. Next, I hope wide leg trousers, and wide leg pants in general become stylish again. ( I liked the wide leg pants of the 1970’s. )

  5. Betty (SC) says:

I am so happy to see the wide leg-high waist jeans making a comeback!! -Great around town video!

  6. Karen Landis says:

Already bought my wide-leg jeans, now I need to freshen up my gray turtleneck to mimic that classic modern outfit 🙂
Do you like Roller Rabbit for resort wear or Georgia summers?

  7. Suzanne M Smith says:

I like the jeans! I’ve always liked high waist pants–many don’t, but I have a thin waist and the lower ride pants make me feel weird. I also like the patch pockets–seems like I saw that same style in some other brand, too, but these are great. Nice red bag, too–very Chanel-esque. I like a small cross-body bag, too–I have a number of variations on the one you’re using, in different colors, and I use ’em all the time. Good to hear you liked the movie–it’s on my list of movies I want to see. Happy Monday!

  8. Sharon Olsen says:

Spent my Saturday keeping my daughter company at the Young Patriots day at the Princeton Battle Field, Princeton, N.J. A little revolutionary history.

Sunday was playing catch up (cleaning and grocery shopping and getting ready for the work week.

  9. Halima Cajee says:

where can I buy those wide leg Jean’s.

    • Beth Djalali says:

if you hover over the bold type or click on the blue jeans at the bottom of the post that says “shop the post”
you will be redirected to the shopping site. xo

  10. Becky says:

Nope, not for me. I think you would need to be tall and thin for these to be flattering, and i’m only 5’4”. These also look like a one season trend to me, and I expect clothes to look good for several seasons. But feel free to disagree! Of course everything looks cute on Beth.

    • Chris Illius says:

I’m only 5’4″ too. What God didn’t give me in height, he gave me in other aspects. Beth looks great in what she chooses, so I’m sure there are things that look great on you too that doesn’t always look great on Beth. I’m not all that thin either right now, but Beth still gives me inspiration. I hope that you have a great day and please don’t be negative about us 5’4inchers – I had 2 neighbors that were only 5′ that made me feel tall, yet they always look on trend in other ways. God Bless!

  11. Chris Illius says:

These sold out in almost every size (especially short) in a NANO SECOND too 🙁

They look great on you!!! Hopefully they will restock.

  12. Regine says:

You look great but I’ll have to embrace a different fall trend. I was recently purging my closet and tried on a wide pair that I saved from the 80’s. SO much fabric LOL
I have loved the narrow and skinny pant styles and just never want to go back. I remember worrying when the skinny leg trend came in about how long it would be before they brought back these wide legs? I really enjoy your blog!

  13. Shannoni says:

Love the sunglasses! Are those available?

  14. Patty says:

The jeans look great, but I’m totally distracted by those gorgeous shades, which look perfect on you. Where can I find a pair for myself?!

  15. Tina says:

I just couldn’t wear wide leg jeans. I’m fairly slim but short. I think they make most women look heavy. Unless you’re a tall super slim model. To each their own but I think they look awful. Love the turtleneck though!

  16. sharon says:

I have a pair of jeans trousers from Target. They look very similar to yours. I do like them for a change sometimes.

  17. Renee says:

I love these jeans! I just ordered a pair, can’t wait to wear them!

  18. Pam says:

I love wide-legged jeans. I have two pair. One tip however– make sure they’re floor length, unless of course they’re cropped.

  19. Beverly M Labosky says:

I just watched the video of the styles you added from Ann Taylor. Thanks for some great ideas. What colors are you using on your eyeshadows in that video?

  20. Lisa Cotton says:

You are and look darling, but I just don’t think I can get into this trend. It took me FOR-E-VER to get into the skinny jeans trend. 🙂

  21. Tina says:

I love the turtleneck, too! this shade of grey is beautiful! Came here through a friend who is a fan. We both live in Georgia (not US Georgia).
Can’t have enough of your blog!

  22. Gladys O. Collazo says:

I began looking at your blog as someone who has a lot of clothing and never knows what to wear. I have many of the pieces you wear-I shop at Talbots, Ann Taylor, and now JJill, and buy shoes and purses at Nordstrom. I am still working full time; and I have a real apple body. I am short and overweight, but always try to dress well for my current weight. I love jewelry and shoes to spice up my professional outfits. I love how you put pieces together, that I would have never thought of. I now read your health and beauty tips-great ideas too. Your blog is a real inspiration.
