blazers are a classic for a reason. one is the versatility they offer. anyone shuffling off to work this morning knows that slipping one on over a simple skirt and tee lends an air of authority. the cardigan style jacket for today’s ootd is inspired by chanel. hence, the layers of pearls. it is part of a two-piece suit last seen here. but that is the beauty of separates. the pieces can be pulled apart and put back together in so many different ways, depending on your mood. the skirt was last seen here. and for a little off-duty fun i hope you noticed the more-than-fab clutch. accessories like this can completely change-up your look. this classic skirt/blazer combo is office perfection when worn with black pumps and handbag. but once you slip into a pair of sandals and add a jazzy clutch the mood quickly shifts. isn’t it amazing how tiny details transform outfits?

Really enjoy your blog have been following for a year but just started commenting I have gotten some great ideas and started buying more online as we live between good shopping areas! Have an interesting JEWLERY collection I inherited from my mother.. For her it was fun and now it is vintage and I feel close to her when I wear it. Oh girl! My heart is pitter-pattering!! THIS outfit is making me weak in the knees…. the necklace first grabbed my attention, the the belt, and the clutch (!), and then of course the shoes! *swoon*
It always amazes me how much the accessories MATTER to any outfit. They make it or break it, or take it to the next level.

the devil is in the details! i think the clutch makes the outfit, but someone pointed out my shoes are in tune with a checkered cab. hmmmm, did i do that on purpose?! i’ll never tell.
