style is on the road again. this time there’s two back-to-back trips. first stop, Dallas, Tx to attend the rewardStyle conference. then i jet off to NYC to take care of business for a few days. phew! by the time i return home next wednesday, i’m certain i’ll be more than happy to water my plants, whip up dinner, and dine al fresco on our patio. but i’m looking forward to the hectic week. not certain what i’ll post on instastories but that’s where you can catch all the ‘behind the scenes’ action.
but first, travel attire. if there’s one item i consistently bring along on my trips it’s a cashmere wrap. they’re chic, comfortable, and help ward off those frigid temps airports and airplanes are notorious for. if by chance the temps heat up cashmere is so easy to smush into your bag with no worries about wrinkles. this gorgeous cornflower blue poncho is popped over a chambray button-down, skinny black jeans, and pointy-toed flats. i’ll breeze through security in a jiff! and, yes, i have my large suitcase packed to the gills. in Dallas alone, i’ll be attending two full days jam-packed with seminars and the like. then three evening soirées. and new york pretty much looks the same with two cocktail parties thrown in to boot. didn’t i tell you it was going to be a hectic week? wish me luck!

Well, you look gorgeous and will be the belle of the ball….and airport! I have that wrap and will definitely be taking that with me next week. I SO look forward to seeing your posts and can’t wait to hear about your week. Be safe and …. please….if they ask you to give up your seat…..(I think you know the rest) 😉 HA! Have fun!
Hi Sandi!
I just had to chuckle at your remark! Thank goodness I’m not flying the friendly skies…
I’ll have a recap of my trip and what I wore!

CAN RELATE…I have 3 trips back to back starting Saturday. A few days of fun with our oldest and her hubby, then two cities in 7 days of work. I have meltdowns during the packing process. Thanks to sites like yours tho, I have more confidence to actually plan outfits.Travel Safe-Laurel Bledsoe
I’m exhausted thinking about your upcoming schedule! But then you’re off to Charleston and I might be a little jealous.
xo
The color of the wrap is perfect for you! Safe travels for you and we all expect pictures and details later. xoxo
Whenever I find this shade of blue, Donna, I always wonder why I don’t have more of it hanging in my closet?!
xo
Gorgeous shade of blue in the poncho–looks very cozy, too.
Have a wonderful trip–I used to have to travel and be gone for 4 weeks at a pop, because I’d head to the west coast and my organization didn’t want to pay to send me back and forth–so weekends I’d explore like crazy and I loved it. But boy did I get good at packing. Have fun, and then think about how good home will be when you head back! You look terrific and ready to wow them all.
I cannot even imagine being away from home for over a month! But I’m glad you made good use of your time and went exploring. That’s really the best way to travel. And you begging to see the city in a new light????
Have a good trip Beth !
Like you, I always travel with a garment that gives me warmth and keeps me from asking for on of those airplane blankets..ugh. It’s usually a big warm pashmina or scarf-
Hi Lorena! I agree with your airplane blanket thoughts❤️
LOVE your bag!! Have a great trip!
I’m all about accessories that work hard and look good! Thanks for stopping by, Sarah!
Perfection for air travel — highly functional yet stylish. Besides the cashmere poncho in a made-for-you blue paired with hardworking staples, you’ve cleverly chosen a tote that complements both your suitcase and your outfit. Every air traveler should put as much thought into her turnout as you do.
You are too kind, sir! But I’m always tickled when people notice all the subtle details that elevate a simple look!
xoxo
How exciting! Have a great trip. You will be visiting NYC, my neck of the woods and I hope we roll out the red carpet for you!
Thank you so much Beth for modelling my cashmere poncho so beautifully – it certainly is your colour! Have a wonderful trip.
With love and thanks 🙂
