layer it

several weeks ago a lovely reader asked what item in my closet would i add onto? to which i quickly replied, “white blouse.” it wasn’t long after when i reposted my tips for closet organization (here). that blog post gave a quick peek inside my closet and a revealed a nice row of white blouses stacked neatly together. my saavy reader was quick to point out, “you’re not kidding about the white blouses.” and i’m not if today’s ootd is any evidence. for starters, i always have 1 or 2 white button-downs hanging in my closet, but after that, i look for white blouses with interesting details to give a simple outfit the extra punch it needs. what really caught my eye with the one i have on today was the interesting hemline and the beautiful detailing. this will be a blouse that will stand on its own once summer rolls around with its hotter temps. but it also layers nicely underneath a variety of blazers like this cropped boucle jacket (last seen here). versatile and beautiful. that’s how white blouses multiply inside my closet. especially come spring and summer.
