c’est bon
when it comes to building my wardrobe i like to have separates on hand. reason being, they become workhorses in my closet. a denim jacket works well with a skirt or a dress last seen here. this linen skirt looks great with a sweater as in today’s ootd or last seen here. and my ballet flats? well, they get oodles of use and were last seen here. isn’t it fun to mix-and-match items from years gone by? in my thirties (or thereabout), i decided that any item hanging in my closet had to come to life 3 different ways. and that’s pretty much how i shop to this day. if i’m standing in front of a drool-worthy skirt deciding if i should shell out a few buckaroos, it has to go with at least 3 things i already own. which is why you will see items recycled over-and-over here on the blog. then, when something new comes into my life i know it has staying power. form and function can come together in the most delightful ways.
