Sporty in Stripes and Denim for Spring
The weather has been glorious here in Georgia, so I’m taking every opportunity to head outdoors. There’s nothing like a spring day, especially in the south. My hydrangeas in the backyard are full of blooms that will burst in the next week or two. But my gorgeous hydrangeas in the front yard took it on the chin last spring with a late freeze. It might take them another year (hopefully, not two) before they come back strong. But hydrangeas are resilient, so the future is bright. I don’t know about you, but I think they are my favorite flower, with peonies coming in a strong second. I recently had two peonies added to my landscape in the front. Hopefully, those pesky deer will leave them alone…

Part sporty and part sophisticated, these pants are a whole lot of fun to wear, although I did size one size down due to the roomy fit. Pair it with the matching blazer for a modern take on the classic suit. Or add a sweater for a sporty weekend outfit.

Since I love a sporty, casual chic vibe, I decided a striped tee was the right choice to pop over the refined denim pants, especially since I wanted to add a white denim jacket from Chico’s as my third layer ‘cuz we all know if it’s spring then a third layer is a must!

It is a great option … and I think they have my sizes in both at Talbots. 🙂 I didn’t have a chance to comment on yesterday’s post, but the denim blazer is perfect. I see you’ve opted for the straight ankles vs. the wide leg. I appreciate you calling out the size so I will be sure to size down in the pants also.
