good morning, ladies! is anyone else as tired as i am today? why is it that after a long weekend i’m more tired than just a plain old run of the mill two day weekend? but i had fun and i hope you did too.

today’s outfit is short and sweet and pulled from the archives. but it’s safe to say that a black pencil skirt is a timeless classic that belongs in everyone’s closet. this skirt is by ann taylor circa 2015.it’s ponte and is a dream to wear. plus, it is the perfect length! ann is known for wardrobe staples and office attire. take a look at the current version of a little black skirt here and here.

black and brown is a chic color combo taken directly from the boys. it isn’t often that i spot a shirt that has stripes and black and brown. when i do i pounce! this shirt is from j.crew circa 2014. similar here and here.
belts are a great way to accessorize a ho-hum outfit. belts also last for years so don’t be afraid to invest in one or two. before you know it you will have a nice little collection at your beck and call.
cap toed shoes are also classic and go with just about everything if the shoe color scheme is kept neutral. take a look here and here.
sometimes, getting dressed in the morning is as easy as 1.2.3. if you have the basics hanging in your closet. happy tuesday!

I can totally relate. And why is it that the work week can drag on,but the weekend just seems to fly by? Even a long one! That is a classic look–I have a similar belt, and I love it–I am realizing I had it when I was in my 20’s, and well…we all know how old that means it is! Love the skirt–anything in a ponte is fabulous in my book. So comfy and doesn’t wrinkle, either. The length of that really is perfect. Happy Tuesday to you as well.
I love this look! And yes, classic clothes are always the best:). I love this belt – very unique. Have a great day Beth, Renata
A great classic indeed, beautifully worn!
