Pantone’s color forecast for fall and winter predicts earthy tones and beautiful sky blues. And of course we have pops of bright red. Colors have been trending in this direction for years and neutrals play into this perfectly.
Plum, or purple, and many of its shades play into fall colors. Go bold with plum, or incorporate it into your ensemble with a print. It’s a universally flattering hue and goes beautifully with all of fall’s neutrals.
Blue is always on trend and this works out perfectly for all of us blue jean mamas out there. From navy to sky blue, blue shades are trending this year and the icy blue trends of summer are carrying over to fall and winter.
Shades of green are so perfect for fall, it’s the perfect neutral color to pair with the orange reds, plum purples, and light blues that are trending this year. Muted greens work for all seasons, so an investment in olive green means outfit opportunities all year long.
Neutrals will always have a place in my closet. As fall and winter approach, white and its various shades are the perfect canvas for mixing and matching the wide variety of colors trending for fall and winter this year.
And don’t forget black and white is always on trend and Talbots has the most romantic skirt, the Patio Skirt, which has seen multiple colors and prints this summer, and the most wearable version this fall is the bold paisley version.
