one reason to love a change of season is how outerwear can spice up your look. and there’s a considerable amount of variety out there that caters to your climate, and mood. so i’ve gathered a few of my favorite pieces to help your creative juices start flowing. from jean jackets to leather moto’s, ponchos, and trenches, you just might find something to add to your repertoire this fall. even if you live in the frozen tundra there’s no reason not to have a stylish coat or two hanging in your closet. enjoy!

vests continue to be on trend this year (i don’t think they ever go out). the fur vest was my father’s that i’ve hung on to all these years. it was the lining to his favorite jacket. i always think of him when i wear it.

the trench coat has been an iconic staple for over 100 years. it’s fun to mix it up a little with animal print or different shapes and colors.

pea coats, car coats, and parkas are perfect when the snow starts to fly.
