i was invited to participate in a makeover series hosted by the delightful D.A. Wolf on Daily Plate of Crazy. don’t you just love that blog name?! anyway, it’s a makeup/makeover series that showcases different makeup experiences at a local department store. i was game to participate, and volunteered for an glam evening look. check out my step-by-step tutorial here guided by my go-to make-up consultant Robert. let me know your thoughts over on Daily Plate of Crazy. we bloggers so appreciate all of your thoughtful comments. it’s always fun to have your make-up tweaked for daytime or nighttime, and if you haven’t put this on your to-do list for fall and spring i recommend that you do. remember, the holidays are fast approaching and you just might find yourself at a swanky dinner party, company soiree, or just a fun evening out with your family. since i volunteered for a nighttime glam makeover i didn’t think i should squander the opportunity to put on some party duds and head out to a fun evening with my favorite photographer. if any of you have visited san francisco you understand that this is a laid-back city when it comes to just about anything, including a scrumptious meal at Michelin rated restaurant. so i kept my look fun, but a little glam san francisco style. i absolutely love anything with pockets so when i’m wearing a skirt with pockets i think i might be in heaven. i pulled out a faux fur jacket to keep the chill away as i opted for a plain grey tee with sequins sprinkled across the bodice. a skinny black belt, metallic gold sandals, and of course an evening clutch finish off my glam nighttime ootd. what do you think?

Oh My Goodness, Beth! This outfit is fabulous! And the faux fur jacket is to die for! You remind a lot of Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada. I am keeping this look in the back of my head for the holidays! Thanks again for the inspiration.
