We are still embracing high, summer-like temperatures so today I have a fall transition outfit that plays with print and texture. While I may not be ready to don heavier fall clothes, I can capture the feeling of the changing season by adding texture and fall color to my hot-weather-appropriate ensemble. You can wear knits and sweater-like tops that won’t be too hot, such as sweater vests, or tees – especially in natural fabrics like cashmere and wool. It’s the perfect time to break out the faux leather skirts too!

You may recall I bought this Roman Faux Leather Skirt at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. The short length is perfect for a warm day. And its taupe color works perfectly with a white relaxed cashmere tee to create a neutral color palette that is not only comfortable on a warm day, but is great for fall.
The Relaxed Cashmere Tee is a great top to have in multiple colors, it works all year long and is incredibly comfortable. It works with casual outfits and can be dressed up easily. Each year I add a new color to my collection because these cashmere tees are a go-to item in my closet and J.Crew does a beautiful job with their cashmere, well worth the investment!
(Rothy’s)
Another great in-between season item are knit shoes from Rothy’s. They are breathable and chic. Rothy’s shoes come in so many styles, colors and prints it’s fun to have a few in your closet to add a little fun to your outfit.
I am wearing The Point in Desert Cat, which has a coordinating wristlet bag that is quite roomy. While Rothy's shoes and bags fall into a higher price point, they are well worth the investment. Made from renewable, recycled, or natural materials, Rothy's shoes and bags are machine washable. This feature adds to their longevity and sustainability, making them great investment pieces.
In fact, Rothy's has turned over 493,346 pounds of ocean-bound marine plastic into the threads they use to weave their shoes and accessories.
