it’s time ease into monday morning with a no-brainer outfit – my style uniform updated with a crisp white linen blazer that’s perfect all summer long. i do believe it goes with everything. today, it’s squared off against a classic striped tee. seeing as it’s monday and i’m more or less functioning on autopilot (i worked on several projects this weekend instead of relaxing) my trusty blue jeans are back in action. yes, those temps have been delicious here in georgia day-after-day this past month. fingers crossed we’ll have a few more before summer decides to show up with a vengeance. in the meantime, i’ll enjoy every minute of what mother nature is delivering!
who remembers i suggested every woman should own a pair of red shoes? well, as you can see my red pointy-toed flats add a dash of drama to this simple ootd. and gives it just the right amount of oomph it needs. a wicker handbag is back in action and polishes this outfit off in typical summer fashion. some days, it’s nice to reach for those tried-and-true items that just work. style uniform you’re exactly what this girl needs today. easy and breezy.
okay monday, i may not be ready for you but let’s get this week off and running!
labels: denim Banana Republic; tee J.Crew; blazer J.Crew; shoes Talbots (old, similar here and here); handbag Talbots; earrings Chico’s; lipstick Pink Marshmallow

After reading this post I am convinced I need more red in my wardrobe. I know it is the IT color this summer and was thinking about adding some red and now YOU have convinced me!! Darling a always!
and red continues to be BIG for fall. you just might have to break down and add more red into the mix.
always love to hear from you!

I have those shoes–I put cushion-y inserts in them as they didn’t have any real padding, but I wear them a good bit now that I put those in them–(I guess I have very thin–and bony– feet!) Lots of shoes fall right off my feet otherwise. They’re pretty shoes, though, and I love red. Where DID this weekend go? When I got to work this morning it felt like I’d never left. I wish the weeks went as fast as the weekends go!
well, i’m happy to hear you found a solution with inserts. and you’re right, these shoes have very little padding. i’m lucky as it hasn’t bothered me but if they do you’ve already shared a solution.
aren’t you happy you have a pair of red shoes at your disposal? i don’t know what it is about them but i am hooked.

Beth, you’ve done such a great job transitioning to GA and summer style. And I love all the details you include like the lapel pin. I’m inspired – you make it look so easy! Keep it up.
awww, that’s an awfully nice compliment. thank you! we are loving georgia so the transition has been easy even if we are back to hot and hotter temps. but the winter? looooove it.

Stripes are good any time of year but especially summer. The white blazer is sharp…lots of wear in that baby. Can’t go wrong with red shoes…gives an outfit extra zing… xoxo
when in doubt put a stripe on it!
