it may be monday, and i’m wearing blue. but this ootd is from sunday. our oldest son is in town for a few days. so we piled in the car and headed to the georgia club for a bite to eat. the sun finally made an appearance. and the temps decided to inch upwards. but there was a fierce wind to contend with all day. not a problem unless you’re snapping a few photos.
if you’re wondering what i wore to brunch here’s a recap. this time of year i’m slowly ditching my wool blazers. instead, i chose a Ralph Lauren navy blue blazer. since it’s knit and navy it’s a terrific transitional piece. neutrals work any time of year. but they span the seasons with ease. a striped tee from J.Crew seemed a perfect choice to partner with a knit blazer. it adds a springlike nautical feel. chinos (old, similar here) in a neutral color and white sneakers add spit and polish to this casual outfit. add a hobo handbag, and i’m ready for brunch.

the structure of a double-breasted blazer meets the drape of a sweater in this cotton-blend jacket. it also has a longer length, hitting at the hip. but the gold tone buttons are what elevate this blazer. it’s tiny details like this that make the difference.

hobo handbags have a relaxed silhouette.
sneakers are comfortable and chic.

can you believe it’s monday, gang? the weekend disappeared in a nano-second. i may or may not be caught up on my sleep. but either way, i’m ready to usher in a new week.
