tunic and chinos the perfect weekend outfit
if you want an outfit geared for the weekend think no further than a tunic and chinos. gauzy or light fabrics make tunics great for warm climates a.k.a. summer. a tunic is an easy to wear top with a loose fit which makes it comfy but not baggy. this multi-colored tunic from Anthropologie with hues of purple, green, blue and yellow hits my upper thigh. it has a longer back, which provides great coverage if paired with leggings.
today’s ootd is casual through and through. but that’s what summer is all about. it’s time to stay cool with flowing tops, relaxed chinos, and sandals. green chinos act as a neutral and ground this colorful tunic. yellow suede sandals (old, similar here and here) are back in action. and i couldn’t resist reaching for my new straw handbag from Nordstrom to add a touch of summer whimsy.

one reason to love summer. the flowers are blooming, and the bees are in action. it’s so much fun watching nature spring to life. and i’m a sucker for gardens of any variety – flowers, herbs or veggies.

there are lot’s of things to do in athens besides a georgia footbal game! we have a great music and food scene. and atlanta is only a hop, skip, and jump away.

Could you talk about how you style your nail polish and choose the age appropriate color?
well, i never consider anything to be age appropriate. that would place archaic rules on your style which makes no sense to me. what age would i stop wearing red nail polish? i’ll be wearing red until i die. if i like a nail color then i’ll wear it whether it’s navy, pink or purple. style is pretty simple when you throw away those darn ageist rules.

the handbag does stand up when placed on a flat surface. but it can tend to tilt and easily fall over.
