one of the hottest trends this summer centers around the classic shirtdress. when popped over frayed denim it instantly becomes delightfully cool, chic and modern. and i’m willing to bet most of us have at least one shirtdress hanging in their closet. so with temps heating up why not trot out your tried-and-true polished shirtdress? leave several buttons undone, add a wicker crossbody bag that’s perfect for summer styles, and block heels. sometimes it’s easy to try a trend on for size just by shopping your closet. don’t you love it when a classic turns into a trend? can you say versatile?

Oh–that’ll be light and airy once the heat waves we know are headed our way get here soon. I like dresses used as a tunic–and this one’s pretty and looks comfortable.
this week is hitting us hard with high temps, sue! i knew cooler weather was just a blip, but i loved every second.

Great look…Ive done this with white tunic and will maybe upgrade to a gauzy stripe. It’s never cool in Fl so something that can stand up to the heat is all in!-Laurel Bledsoe
