didn’t i warn you? but it’s true. i just might live in this suede jacket for the duration of fall.
before the temps decided to heat up once again, we made a mad dash to our local pumpkin patch. and while ‘the great pumpkin’ was nowhere to be found we didn’t come home empty-handed either. actually, we scored three white pumpkins that were in pretty decent shape. and two potted white mums. now our porch is all spiffed up and ready for those crisp autumn days that are bound to return. this time around, we’ll be sipping apple cider instead of ice tea. i just might have to throw together a blog post of ‘how we decorated our front porch for fall.’ any takers?
when i was tweaking the outdoor decor, oscar became quite enthralled with the pumpkins. why, you ask? who knows with that one… at one point, it looked as if pumpkin du jour was definitely on the lunch menu. i have to admit the mini white pumpkins appeared far more appetizing than his usual grain free sweet potatoes. thankfully, his attention was diverted. so i’m happy to report all of my fall decorations are still intact. unless you count my existing potted plants. it seems the squirrels are uprooting them due to burying their nuts. isn’t nature grand?
but y’all have to admit this ootd was the perfect choice for pumpkin picking. and a little porch is decorating.
happy hump day!

Love, love, love this outfit! I clicked on your links for the sweater, but sadly to say, it must have flown off the shelves because I could not find it on the jjill website. Anyway, it looks great on you and you have combined it beautifully with the jacket, shirt, and jeans. And I would love to see your porch decorated for fall!
drats! hopefully, they’ll restock ASAP. if they do, jump on it because it is as comfortable as it is beautiful. but i’m happy to hear you’d like to see the porch all decked out for fall.
xoxo
Another great styling with the suede jacket! Still too warm here…people are still wearing capris and sandals… Yes, we need to see your porch. xoxo
what is up with this weather, donna! we had a long hot summer that decided to overstay its welcome. i want crisp, fall weather. and that’s that.

The suede jacket is beautiful. Wonderful fall look. I’ll have to watch and see if I can get that jacket on sale! 😉 That will be an investment piece and well worth it. Traveling in Illinois today and flying out at the crack of dawn tomorrow–I bet I could wear that in the morning and be comfortable here. We had some small-ish white pumpkins along our dining room table a couple of years ago and they were beautiful. Show us your porch all decked out for fall–yes!
this jacket is definitely an investment piece. but the good thing is a classic style has staying power. don’t you love how i justify purchases? my father was an investment banker and early on in life i grasped the concept of pro-ration. that’s how i would always negotiate with him when it came time to go shopping for school. my mother on the other hand was an in the moment person and never justified a darn thing!
