timeless and classic the mighty white shirt is a must-have in my closet. and it comes in a variety of packages. sleeveless, button-down, silk, cotton. the combinations are endless.

today’s version similar here, here, and here has a 3/4 length sleeve with beautiful details around the neck. plus a soft drape that’s perfect for a hot summer day.
white not only looks crisp and clean but pairs with any other color under the rainbow. like orange. this pair of shorts similar here, here, and here. is a cross between culotte and skirt. and also has a beautiful drape that makes for a flattering fit.
i threw in the unexpected by tying a silk scarf similar here, here, and here around my waist. what a perfect way to add contrast into the mix of this vibrant color scheme.
straw handbags similar here, here, and here are my go-to handbag during the summer months as they add a hint of playfulness that’s a must during these easy, breezy long summer days.
and what summer outfit is complete without a pair of sandals? this one similar here, here, and here has a touch of gold to set them apart.
all-in-all i’d say this ootd is ready for a summer breeze. the temps are certainly heating up down here in georgia. and there’s been nary a raindrop for over four days!

Love this OOTD, especially the scarf. Such great color and looks so comfortable. I have a question about something you posted the other day but I can’t find (I think it was a Nordstrom post). You were wearing an olive jacket and pink top with an olive/pink impressionistic print scarf. I am sure the scarf is no longer available, but would you mind telling me the brand? I would like to take a stab at finding it on ebay or somewhere! Thank you!

I could not agree more, a white top is a must and I have to say I can never ever get the scarf tied at the waist to stay so magically in place !! You’ve got to teach me.
What a pretty summer outfit. I love the details on the blouse as I never wear a white button down type (it just doesn’t look good on me). The scarf tied around the waist is so pretty. I have an orange Hermes scarf that I never wear (the color is too warm for my coloring) but this is a perfect way to use it.

Love the soft fabric in the shorts/skort style as well as the top. And I always love a scarf used as a belt–it’s so feminine and just a creative way to use a scarf that’s not as typical as tied around the neck. I have a few scarves that i hardly ever wear at my neck, but I love as a belt. Glad to hear you are getting some sunshine! Now you can enjoy all that lush green from all the wet stuff!
