if you can believe it, we’re saying goodbye to august – and in my opinion summer. so before we kick into high gear with all things autumn i thought we would revisit the outfits that resonated with all of you from the past three months. it’s funny, but i never truly know what ootd will be a big hit and which one won’t. but i do receive lots of comments and feedback sent my way via email or one of the various social media channels where the outfit is posted. and i thank each and every one of you for taking time out of your busy lives to stop by and see what’s goin’ on here at style at a certain age. i’m having a ball sharing my outfits with you! and i love hearing all of your thoughts even if it takes some time for me to send back an answer. when i started this venture it was on the premise i had to get up and get dressed every day anyway. so it’s been loads of fun to have some travel companions along the way. but for now, it’s goodbye summer, hello fall.
happy hump day!

All great looks! I am clinging to the last vestiges of summer–I love fall, but it also represents the start of my insane travel and admissions season, so I am putting it off as long as possible! Look forward to fall clothing, though. And it’s beautiful here in the fall. Enjoy–thank God it’s Wednesday! But where is this time going!
i know, sue, where is the time disappearing to? it was just the fourth of july, and tomorrow is september. before you know it it’s christmas… but now i’m here in georgia i’m going to love each and every minute of fall and winter ‘cuz it rarely snows!
xoxo
These are all fabulous summer looks! We still have temps in the upper 80’s and 90’s so the trick is to find transitional pieces that are comfortable with the lingering summer heat and humidity. I had some minor hand surgery (trigger finger release) so I was MIA for comments for a few days. Tomorrow the big bandaging comes off and next week the stitches come out. A young fella, probably in this early 30’s, was in the waiting room to be seen about his hand which was severely damaged by fireworks. Oy vey… xoxo
here’s to a speedy recovery! i still don’t know why we sell fireworks. people lose limbs or worse eyes… i’ve always stayed far away.
xoxo
Sometimes, I accidently find a post (or two) that I have somehow missed! Is there any way to see your posts chronologically? I click on the “Also on Style….” at the bottom of each post, but they are random. I truly don’t want to miss a single one.

hey nikki,
if you are on your desktop you can click at the top of the page: Style at a Certain Age. It will bring up the posts in chronological order.

Thanks!
All great outfits and the floral dress is gorgeous, although I prefer skirts (love the white ones).
i do prefer skirts over dresses, but on a hot summer day nothing beats a dress.
