purple reign
if it’s spring then there’s bound to be pops of color. yellow, pink, purple and of course green are bursting forth after their long winter nap. of course, there are still areas of the country that are weeks away from mother nature’s grand display. but spring is coming. it’s on its way. who’s ready for warmer temps and lightweight clothes?
if today’s ootd is any indication, it looks as if i am ready for both. but what do i wear when seasons transition and the temperatures fluctuate? a perfect solution begins with layers. and more than one. take this crochet cardigan in a lovely shade of purple. it’s both soft and comfortable and looks fab paired with a colorful scarf. layer both over a simple white tank. then, if the temps begin to rise i can take the scarf off. but if the weather stays cool a scarf always adds an extra layer of warmth.
denim is perfect any time of year but this dark rinse pair looks terrific with a pop of purple. all-in-all the week is off to great start thanks to lots of sunshine overhead and clear blue skies.

Pretty as a lilac! And ours are starting to bud, too–in February! Go figure.
Love lavenders and purple colors. I was kind of hoping I’d get to wear more of my winter things, but it’s not looking likely that we’ll have much more cold weather this year. Seems like I just put all the spring/summer clothes away not long ago–time to get them out again, I guess!
lilacs are my favorite, sue! when we lived in minnesota we had lilac bushes that lined our driveway. the house smelled marvelous every spring.
the temps here have been mild but you never know about those cold fronts.
