ode to winter

  1. Maria João says:

No color today? But you still look great! Love the otft

    • beth djalali says:

every once in a while i trade in color for all-black. even though i rarely wear an all-black ensemble whenever i do people always compliment me. (it’s the gray hair)
      xoxo

  2. Oh boy…you better get ready for the no color thing! Happens to me all the time as what you have on is my “uniform”. Since we live in FL I do mix it up with white and sometimes keep a scarf handy to add in a little color so my friends don’t freak out. I DO love the way you look and think black is the perfect color with “our” hair color and those glasses again!-Laurel

    • beth djalali says:

for whatever reason, (probably the hair color) i always receive so many compliments whenever i wear black. and i wear it so seldom. maybe i should reconsider…
so happy you like the glasses because when i was in dallas recently, my left contact fell down the drain and it was my last pair. i’m waiting for my new prescription…
      xoxo

  3. donnanance says:

You look toasty in your jacket. Yep, winter returned, whether we wanted it or not. It was in the teens this morning…brrr… xoxo

    • beth djalali says:

OMG, donna! this weather is for the birds that’s for sure. the only consolation is that we know warmer weather will be here sooner rather than later.
      xoxo

  4. Sue Petersen says:

This looks more like what I have to wear all winter. Living in Nebraska you get used to wearing jeans and boots all the time with a winter coat. I always admire your posts when you can wear shoes with no socks. We have snow today with 21 degrees. Good luck with your taxes!

    • beth djalali says:

hi sue! you do know i hail from nebraska? i’m all too familiar with their crazy weather. snow and 21 degrees is why i choose to live south of the mason/dixon line ‘cuz i don’t have to worry about socks or shoe choices. but take heart, i remember that st. patrick’s day always marked the beginning of warmer weather. now if only those tornadoes and hail storms decided not to pay a visit…
      xoxo

  5. Sharon Woryn says:

Can we sing another tune? It is so cold, windy and we have 4 inches of snow from the storm yesterday. I had to wear warm pieces to Bible study this morning so I went with a gingham check blouse, red blazer and navy ankle pants. The gingham was my nod to spring. I am so ready! You look so warm and chic in your ootd. The hand bag takes it up a notch. Love those Frye boots.

    • beth djalali says:

oh sharon, march is always a crazy ride weather-wise. why do i not know this by now?!

your outfit sounds adorable! love navy and red with a pinch of gingham. it sounds like my kind of outfit.

      xoxo

p.s. these frye boots have to be the most comfortable pair i own.

  6. Sue Smith says:

I’m similar today, well… only in navy, with a short skirt, tights, and OTK boots and a navy puffer vest. But same warm mindset. Good luck with the TAX MAN. Sending good vibes your way.

Remember the Beatles song, Taxman? “Let me tell you how it will be / There’s one for you, nineteen for me / ‘Cause I’m the taxman, yeah, I’m the taxman…”

    • beth djalali says:

lol! dear lord, but i know every word to that song. and it’s true they get ALL of it. now if they would only do something with all of that moola.

your outfit sounds soooo cute! does your skirt have a pattern? what color are your boots. i need details, sue, details!

      xoxo
