the classic series continues today on Instagram. and what’s more classic than an iconic Lacoste polo? unless it’s a black Lacoste polo worn with old school white chinos. while black and white are always all right this classic color combo looks particularly crisp and clean come summer.
when i was a young girl my mother introduced me to the Lacoste brand and of course their iconic Lacoste polo with an emblematic crocodile applique. i’ve loved this tee since then. this brand was founded by tennis player René Lacoste who became the world’s number 1 player in 1927. the Lacoste brand is the expression of modern french style. oui?

this slim fit stretch mini pique polo comes in 19 colors. and 14 colors are on sale. there is a size chart on the website that will guide you to your perfect fit. i sized up to an XL for a looser fit. this polo has a ribbed collar with a long placket. the buttons are mother of pearl. and of course, the iconic embroidered crocodile applique is on the chest.
chinos have a looser fit than jeans which make them a perfect summer substitute. i’m wearing a size 8 true to size girlfriend chinos with a relaxed fit from Talbots that come in 8 colors. chinos are a staple in my closet as i love the crisp and light fabric. there is spandex in the fabric so they will stretch out.
brown sandals are the unexpected twist to this outfit. but it brings unity to the straw hat and handbag. these toe ring sandals are from Tory Burch, currently on sale at Nordstrom. there are four colors available. the monogrammed straw tote is from Mark and Graham one of my go-to brands for accessories. if you are looking for a special gift Mark and Graham does a bang-up job with unique items for home and entertaining, travel, or bags. then they wrap it in a gorgeous gift box tied with grosgrain ribbon. plus, they offer monogramming. doesn’t everything look better with initials?

the fabric is substantial enough to hide the back pocket. at least to my eye it is. xo

How funny–I just bought these same chinos in the Gris color yesterday at my local Talbots and I wholeheartedly endorse them. I have them in red also. A great pant to dress up or down.
