if i’m ever in doubt as to what to wear i always reach for the classics. why? because they work. timeless and chic, classics have an iconic presence for a reason. every single component of today’s ootd is a tried-and-true essential. trench coat – check. striped tee – check. ballet flats – check. scarf – check. even the patent leather tote has classic lines so it adds ta smidge of old school chicness.
two things i particularly like about this outfit: the silk scarf is square so is perfect tied around the neck. and the tote has a long strap that turns it into a crossbody bag in a snap. there’s a teensy bit of pattern mixing with polka dots and stripes. did you notice both items hail from the same color family? keep that in mind when trying your hand at print mixes. it keeps this trend soft and subtle and works for this casual chic girl.

Love trench coats. They’re a must and go great with any outfit, specially with the one you are wearing.
I have a trench coat very similar to yours and I’m thinking of buying another one on a darker color. navy perhaps.
a navy trench coat will be a perfect addition. it will be just as versatile as khaki. and the perfect companion to stripes!
