this is quite the exciting week for an american classic kind of girl. because this week it’s all about a british invasion thanks to marks and spencer the iconic london retailer established in 1884. and i couldn’t be more chuffed to bits as the brits like to exclaim. due to the fact, i’ll be wearing the twiggy collection all week. that’s right – twiggy. as in one of the first supermodels who gave birth to ‘mod’ fashions and the mini-skirt. if you were breathing air back in the sixties, you knew exactly who this teenager was who burst onto the fashion scene at the ripe age of sixteen. what an explosive decade that was! so now you understand why i’m over the moon today. at 66 she firmly believes that age is no barrier to style. sing it sister! and has launched her very own fashion collection in collaboration with marks and spencer. her collection was put together with the thought that fashion should be fun, affordable, and stylish. and the twiggy collection is! don’t worry, marks and spencer ships worldwide and has a u.s. website for your shopping convenience click here. there’s even us/uk size comparison chart. so if you fall in love with this sheer striped shirt like i did rest assured it can be sitting on your doorstep in a matter of days. dress this little beauty up, or down as in today’s ootd. the choice is yours because this blouse is versatile. since i’m headed out the door for a cocktail, i kept the look modern and fresh by pairing frayed cropped jeans with the shirt. add heels to the mix, a fun clutch, and pearls and i’m feelin’ groovy. don’t forget, i’ll be wearing the twiggy collection all week long. you won’t want to miss tomorrow’s post!

That is amazing news! I so wanted to be Twiggy when I was in highschool and I’m still a big fan. I will check out her collection. Love that blouse. And welcome back from your travels. Loved your Snaps!

Ahh–pretty outfit! I like the pockets on the top, and the shoes just kick it up a notch . I have those frayed jeans, and love them–they’re so comfy.
Twiggy! She was such a phenomenon in the swinging sixties, wasn’t she! I loved her wide eyes and short hair. To this day, she was a very unique look. Always liked her. And it’s funny–they talked about how skinny she was, back then, but when you look at some of the more current models, she was always very healthy looking, comparatively speaking!
aren’t these jeans so darn cute and comfy?! i try to sneak them in whenever i have the opportunity. and twiggy? she was one of the first ‘it’ girls that we all wanted to emulate.
but i love how she’s evolved through the years. and how she’s stayed busy with her career.

LOVE it!! I would wear that in a heartbeat.
