when it comes to inspiration, it’s fun to take our cue from menswear. classic and polished there’s nothing more refined than a two-piece suit. isn’t it fun to see how men mix and match a basic navy or black suit? the core pieces stay the same, but the shirts and ties change the overall look. and pattern mixing? yes, the men have that going on too. so today, i thought i’d borrow from the boys since i’m trotting out one of my favorite blazers last seen here and here. today, i’ve paired it with a striped shirt and olive green denim. of course, i’m always happy to slip into ballet flats, especially if i have a busy day planned. add a classic handbag and belt and this ootd is complete. don’t you love it when you can steal some style from the fellas?

Nice stripes and plaid mix. I also have quite a few blazers that create a multitude of looks–mixed with jeans to pants to skirts to dresses to leggings! I love them–and they just do make things look pulled together. You look great! (from my hotel in VA this morning!)

You do look great in this outfit! Not really a blazer gal…can’t find one that fits properly…but you rock a good jacket. xoxo
Unexpected prints and colours that worked marvellously well !
That blazer is a gorgeous garment.
