February is fast drawing to a close, and old man Winter has one shoe out the door. Honestly, I’m ready to break up with him this time of year. I’m ready for longer days, warmer temps, and watching the birds and bees flit from tree to tree. Although, we have one extra day of winter to contend with. In case you forgot, this year is a leap year, so we have one additional day in February. Yep, one extra day to work, play golf, shovel snow, or just goof off. A leap year usually occurs every four years, as calendars take into account an orbit around the Sun taking more than 365 days to complete. Enjoy your bonus day this week, ladies, even if it means hanging out with old man Winter one extra day! Today, I am sharing a neutral spring transition outfit, perfect for our bonus day.

A Neutral Spring Transition Outfit
Faux Leather Blazer
(J.Crew)
Today’s ootd might look more like a Fall outfit rather than Spring, but I’ve noticed that neutrals are big for Spring 2024. The last time I wore this faux leather blazer from J. Crew, which is on sale btw, I paired it with a black faux leather pencil skirt (that’s half off) and black cashmere crewneck. But I’m ditching cashmere and wool in favor of cotton these days. It’s time to lighten up, even if I’m not brightening up in today’s subtle color scheme.

But I love this faux leather blazer that looks perfect paired with this olive button-up from a new-to-me brand named Ameliora. The Dawn Fitted Button-Up that comes in ten colors is sheer genius as it’s made with their signature fabric that’s a game changer with four-way stretch, allowing you to move with ease. And the fabric is machine washable, which we all love! One of my favorite style formulas I reach for time and time again is a blazer, button-up, and blue jeans. If it ain’t broke, why fix it, right?! It’s a style formula that’s perfect any time of year, especially as seasons change.

One of my go-to jeans is the mid-rise boot jeans from Ann Taylor. Add a pair of Houndstooth block heels and a classic handbag from Brighton, and I’m off and running for the day! Where should we meet for lunch?

I love this!
It’s woodlands/forest coming back to life in the Spring.
Equal time for the forest and flower gardens!
Blue skies will want in too.
