One of my favorite coats come fall is a sherpa coat or jacket. Or it might be a coat that’s lined with sherpa. It’s a cozy fabric that not only keeps you warm but elevates your outfit due to its texture. Whenever I layer an outfit, I always like to bring in different textures. Different materials can add depth and visual interest to your outfit. Incorporate a mix of cotton, wool, cashmere, or leather fabrics to create a varied and textured look and can add a touch of sophistication to your ensemble.
This Teddy Bear Sherpa Jacket from J.Crew fits the texture bill and takes an ordinary outfit to new levels. I also love the contrasting leather trim on the buttonholes and collar. Not only does the outer layer add another dimension to your outfit, but it also serves as protection against the elements.
Suede Loafers and a black leather handbag are the accessories that add that little extra something. But I think the wool fedora steals the show. The devil is in the details, and this outfit has that in spades.
