Do you know what your zodiac sign is? Personally, I’ve long been fascinated by the subject of my zodiac symbol (I’m an Aquarius) and reading up on it. Now my husband, on the other hand, thinks it’s a bunch of hullabaloo and doesn’t put a second thought into it - Ha!
So what IS your zodiac sign exactly? A person’s particular sign of the zodiac is the position that the sun was in when you were born on your exact birth date - which is why they’re broken up into 12 signs. It’s a belief in astrology that a person’s core personality, strengths, weaknesses, power colors, and sense of self, can be loosely predicted using their zodiac sign.

Aquarius | Pisces | Aries
Aquarius (January 20 - February 18): Bright shades of blues and aqua
Aquarians, known for their visionary and creative thinking, can experiment with unconventional and electric colors. Blues, aquas, and metallic shades align with their innovative and freedom-oriented mindset. We are an air sign, which makes me think of the sky, and thus the shades of blue make total sense.
Try this: I incorporated these blue hues into today's makeup with an electric blue YSL mascara! This Lash Clash mascara, $32, is incredible and how much fun does it add to my face??! I even went a step further with the bright blue theme and tight-lined my upper lash line, with the GXVE Beauty 24 hr pencil in “Bathwater,” $20 paired with a very neutral warm brown shadow look so that the lashes could take center stage!
I cannot tell you HOW many compliments I got wearing this mascara - people were mesmerized by it and it made me feel so alive! The little things like punches of color in your makeup right??!

Pisces (February 19 - March 20): Seafoam, soft shades of green, and lavender
Pisces are dreamers and visionaries, and their color palette reflects their ethereal nature. This sign can often be emotional but also is easy to empathize with others. Soft blues, sea greens, and lavender shades evoke a sense of this type of serenity and emotion. This would be a beautiful cheek to wear into the warmer months and a touch of it goes a long way to bring your face to life! Also, what about this Anthropologie Wrap jumpsuit, $188, in all red - such a power piece!

Taurus | Gemini | Cancer
Taurus (April 20 - May 20): Earthy tones like greens and browns
Taureans appreciate the beauty of nature and are grounded individuals. Earthy tones like browns, greens, and warm neutrals resonate well with their down-to-earth vibes. The Taurus uses their stubborn nature to work for them to achieve their goals. My middle son is a Taurus to a T!
Try this: A palette of warm brown shadows and a nude lip is a makeup look you can never go wrong with. This look was thanks to the same Anastasia Beverly Hills palette I showed off my lavender eye look with above, and also contains some pretty shimmer olive green shades. The lip is Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip paint in “Uncuffed.”

Gemini (May 21 - June 20): Yellows and greens
Geminis, the twins of the zodiac, are known for their dual nature, optimism, and versatility. Embrace the duality with playful contrasts – mix and match vibrant colors in your makeup and clothing choices of happy shades of yellow and green to show strength and playfulness.
Try this: I know a yellow eyeshadow sounds scary but how cute and playful is this look created by celebrity makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes on her Instagram? She kept her whole look very simple with just the yellow shadow, mascara, and fresh dewy skin which works very well. No need to invest in a pricey yellow shadow you might not wear very often, so this “Tankini” Colourpop single shadow, $7, would be a perfect way to try this shade on your lids! Truly scared of yellow shadow? Just sport your power shade with the Essie “Sunshine Be Mine,” polish $10, on your nails.

Cancer is ruled by the moon, and they exude a gentle and nurturing energy. Silver, white, and pastel shades reflect their connection to the lunar realm. Try this: You know I have to bring back this silver eyeshadow look I shared back in December! It’s so pretty and is definitely an unexpected look. I achieved it using the silver from my longtime fave Stone Cold Fox shadow palette, $32, but if you want a silver single I’d suggest trying the Stila liquid eyeshadows in “Diamond Dust,” $25 for a truly sparkling experience!

Leo | Virgo | Libra
Leo (July 23 - August 22): Orange, red-orange, and gold
Leos, the royalty of the zodiac, are ruled by the sun and are most confident! They deserve nothing less than regal colors. Gold, the color of luxury and confidence, suits their majestic personality. Incorporate gold eyeshadows, accessories, or clothing into your ensemble to radiate confidence and glamour. Reds and oranges are also good colors for their healthy ego and enhanced sense of being.
Try this: Mix in a little of the popular L’Oreal Lumi glotion in shade “deep,”$16, with your moisturizer or foundation for that golden luminous glow! It makes it easy to fake like you took a trip to the beach. Virgo (August 23 - September 22): Various shades of greens and brown
Virgos, meticulous and practical, leans towards earthy and muted tones. Greens, beiges, and subtle earth tones can enhance their logical and practical elegance. Opt for understated makeup looks and incorporate these calming colors into your wardrobe for a polished appearance. Virgos are known for getting stuff done!

Colorful nail color is probably the easiest and least scary way to add your power color into your beauty routine. Bright pops of color on the hands are always a welcome look come spring and summertime! A pink gloss is always in style, and the Maybelline Lifter gloss in “Petal” is a warm pink with a copper pearl that I wear all the time.

Scorpio | Sagittarius | Capricorn
Scorpio (October 23 - November 21) : Black, plums, and maroon
Scorpios, with their intense and mysterious aura, can embrace deep and dark colors. Blacks, deep purples, and burgundies complement their enigmatic nature. Experiment with sultry eyeshadows or incorporate these captivating hues into your lip looks for a magnetic allure.
Try this: I cannot get enough of the iconic Clinique “Black Honey” shade and it comes in two versions to choose from - the gloss pop or the almost lipstick formula! It’s the perfect way to wear a sultry plum-ish raspberry shade on the lips without looking too harsh. In my opinion, everyone should own this color because it’s so universally flattering.

I was pretty pleased with how much I liked adding a bright orange shadow to my face! Even this bold mixed floral pattern Ann Taylor orange and purple top, $52, can make for such a vibrant yet classy way to wear your power colors.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19): Black and greys
Capricorns exude timeless sophistication and class. Neutral tones, grays, and classic blacks complement their refined taste and great discipline. Opting for neutral and elegant makeup looks and clothing suits your timeless and practical side.
Try this: A deep gray smokey eye, grounded with a hint of brown and dark charcoal eyeliner, is such a pretty and classic makeup look.
