when the seasons change dressing for the day can be a challenge. that’s why it’s important to have a few spring jackets at the ready. or for a change of pace, why not slip on a poncho? the one i have on for today’s ootd is a dream to wear and is the perfect layer for a casual chic weekend look. this classic color combo of tan and white is a no-brainer this time of year and packs a serious punch. this season i’m loving the resurgence of the block heel. it’s the shoe that blends comfort and style and pairs beautifully with denim. but i’m certain you’ll see me wear these sandals with skirts and dresses in the coming months. how’s that for versatility? and who remembers the bucket bag? i’ve always favored its clean lines, cargo space, and longer strap that lets me sling it over my shoulder. a few bangles, tassel necklace and this outfit is in the bag.

You look fabulous! Love the necklace…have you worn it before? I would look like Yoda if I wore a poncho… Block heels are easier to walk in, that’s for sure. Good-bye 4″ platform heels! You have some lovely scenery as background for your pictures. The bucket bags I remember (I’m older than you by about ten years) were a little more structured and the top had two flaps that folder over. It was a big deal in my little farm community for a young girl to have a bucket bag. It meant that most likely your mom took you shopping downtown Indianapolis to the big department stores. Shopping meant dressing for the occasion: stockings, hat and gloves were not options. xoxo
i remember those types of shopping days with my mom! i kind of miss them in a way…well maybe not the stockings. but i had some pretty fab hats!
